No matter how much GT250R costs .. i made up my mind to buy it .. and thankfully i have now saved enough money to get one as soon as it comes here
... as long as it priced well much below the Ninja

All I can do is expect...........Originally posted by xionite View Postdo you seriously think Garware can pull that off with the GT250R?
realistically?
the rest is on Garware to decide........if they can offer service for the 250cc here they better homologate it, since a 250 would always sell more than the 650, and they would be reeling under demand of imported spares.
Moreover an on-road of 2.5L for the GT250 is justified, its still lower than Ninja, and that price is for the full blown CKD.Hell's Angel

^^ This is the first pic, in which the name 'R15' can be seen clearly. So now its clear that its a 150cc only (no R25).
Also, rear sprocket looks bigger than the current version. So overall gearing must be shorter for better acceleration. But then, what about the top speed?Last edited by amitmalve; 08-08-2011, 12:03 PM.

Buddy, Hyosung was ready to launch the GT250R for 2L, but wanted to establish their service network before that-they don't wanna take the risk as they know the 250 will sell like hot cakes.Originally posted by xionite View Postso u agree... it's impossible.
do you seriously think Garware can pull that off with the GT250R?
realistically?
Good idea!Originally posted by nagoo View Postwell no chance .. i need 2 bikes , currently i have Bajaj Platina 100 and R15 ... i might sell Platina .. and will keep R15
Exactly my thoughts-I checked the Hyosung site&found the dimensions of the 250&650 to be ditto! I was likeNo matter how much GT250R costs .. i made up my mind to buy it .. and thankfully i have now saved enough money to get one as soon as it comes here

, then
!
However, the 650 is 6 speed liquid cooled, whereas the 250 is 5 speed oil cooled. Don't think that matters much.
To compensate the bigger engine&power, the 650 has 10mm. wider tyres front&rear as opposed to the 250 i.e., 120&160. Also larger discs of course.
Thanks a lot for the updates. Guess the bike is really just around the corner now.Originally posted by yamaha4ever View PostFriends, this is the updates i got regarding the new R15 -

I see a plastic cover like on the new bikes-are you sure the pic is from the track?Originally posted by Azet View PostHere is the another R15 pic thanx to ma friend Rama Krishnan.

So this is the same tyre size that most of the modders have installed. Though this has the same pattern as the current tyres-that means MRF has again designed tyres exclusively for the bike..hmm, what about the front tyre-any change in spec?
I think that should increase top speed as well.Originally posted by amitmalve View Post^^ This is the first pic, in which the name 'R15' can be seen clearly. So now its clear that its a 150cc only (no R25).
