The R15 do not need a CC upgrade to go up in BHP marginally........it just needs some ECU tickling and emission norms(and few other jobs like timing the 4V system optimallyOriginally posted by Azet View PostReleasing Next month The bike is 150cc
and etc.) complying to get to 19 bhp as production model with the stock engine.
I hope the new version is so ,otherwise with fatter rear tyre and larger rear sprocket(weight is also expected to increase by 2 kgs), its top speed would degrade from what it is now.Hell's Angel

so i guess ur also serously considering to get one [GT250/R] and i guess ur also planning to keep ur R15,Originally posted by Sarvajit View Post
Good idea!
Exactly my thoughts-I checked the Hyosung site&found the dimensions of the 250&650 to be ditto! I was like
, then
!
However, the 650 is 6 speed liquid cooled, whereas the 250 is 5 speed oil cooled. Don't think that matters much.
To compensate the bigger engine&power, the 650 has 10mm. wider tyres front&rear as opposed to the 250 i.e., 120&160. Also larger discs of course.
well on the Spec part of GT i am impressed , it had more than i need .. all i need is a usable power and a machine which can be used daily ..and looks should kill anyone who stares .. and i should have wicked pride that i own a superrrr-bike
, and more than that .. i give dam sh** on top speed and who goes faster thing .. all i need on speed front is comfortable 120kmph mark with easy .. as this is the most safest top speed for inter-state rides .. and its more than enough for me
bottom line is .. GT should/might come as early as first half of 2012 and i also assume that in the Jan auto show ..garware might showcase 250's on there display and hopefully announce it official date

Yes bro, looking forward to the faired model. R15 will stay for commuting to office etc.Originally posted by nagoo View Postso i guess ur also serously considering to get one [GT250/R] and i guess ur also planning to keep ur R15,
Yes, USD forks, twin discs, 150 section rear tyre with the dimensions of the 650 are enough to make anyone think it is a superbike.well on the Spec part of GT i am impressed , it had more than i need .. all i need is a usable power and a machine which can be used daily ..and looks should kill anyone who stares .. and i should have wicked pride that i own a superrrr-bike

As for the topspeed-it is equal to the Ninja.
Yes, with its heavy bodyweight, it should be very comfortable cruising at 120-130kmph, which is enough for our 4 lane highways I feel. R15 goes out of steam at that-cruising is ideally with 70% power utilization i.e., around 95-105kmph for the R15. It handles higher speeds like 120+ constantly due to LC, but the stress on the engine is shown by its increased fuel consumption.
Yes, the GT 250R should also feel at home in city, the VTwin will ensure enough torque&pulling power.
All in all, this is a good upgrade from the R15, I feel.
Yes, waiting to see the Auto Expo-will not jump at it like I did for the R15 though with Yamaha one rarely regrets.bottom line is .. This time around, Hyosung had better ensure good service&spares backup-will wait to see that first.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

The Liquid run radiator wouldn only decide the price difference.... What about the twin disc?? The full/heavy looking faring, inverted shocks, THE TWIN CYLINDER
Boom.... there goes the 250gtr price way over the CBR, but i have a feeling it would be at par of the abs version of the baby CBRVinu SV You shall remain in our heart forever.....

i seriously doubt that .. CBR is 100% indian made , that can't be the case with GT , our optimistic price is 2L ex-show @maxOriginally posted by shrinathrao View PostI have a strong feeling about the Hyosung GT250 will be priced lesser than the CBR 250 as CBR 250 is liquid cooled engine and the GT 250 is air cooled one, so to come the best in the competition they may keep the prices lesser.

Like Diya Garware said-they have to be on par with the topsellers in the segment, so I expect it to be around 2L OTR.Originally posted by jacob View PostThe Liquid run radiator wouldn only decide the price difference.... Nahiiiiiiiii.......Yamaha just broke my heart...hmm...well, actually, if I think about it, I think now it'll be easy for me to choose GT250R with no real competition for it.Originally posted by yamaha4ever View PostFriends, this is the updates i got regarding the new R15 -
first - there is no change in the engine & very little change in bhp ( still not confirmed.
Second -rear tyre is about 130 section & kerb weight between 135-137 kg.
Third - Chain sprocket's teeth increased to 47 from present 42 to increase pick-up.
fourth - no changes in front visor.
fifth- i am not sure about it but there is also may be some change in monocross shock-up
sixth-bike expected to llaunch in 1st week of sept.

The Hyosung GT250 / GT250R has an Air Cooled engine. The Engine Oil is cooled via a radiator.. la Pulsar 220 style.Originally posted by jacob View PostThe Liquid run radiator wouldn only decide the price difference.... What about the twin disc??
