Will there be a market here if manufacturers strip-off the fairings and sell a street-naked version priced about 20% lesser than fully faired versions?

For eg, take Honda CBR250R, Yamaha R15, remove fairings,improve pillion comfort a bit,reduce the price, won't these sell well? I read somewhere here that a naked CBR250R is indeed planned by Honda.

^^ ye definitely RTR 250 goin to launch within this decade....
they are waiting to see,if the world wont be destroyed by Dec 2012,they will start working on it....
the strategy is simple.....why waste innovations,if its not goin to last long.....

I asked a TVS engineer about this some time back... he confirmed that there is a plan for a 250cc, said it will take quite a lot of time to come, but told me not to expect it anytime soon...

Can you arrange a full pic of the bike...looks good. BTW somewhere in xbhp.com itself I read this is an modification done to the bike by an indivisual.

A bigger picture, but I think its a fake, more like a modification by someone of what it could be. The P220 sticker on fairing is not the correct font.

Secondly, look at the bottom area of the bigger pic: the font is which Puls... is written. It's fake!

MG said near ..it means next autoexpo the official release info might get out .. that's a healthy good 2.5Months of waiting
