No idea dude, friend used agip for his unicorn and said its very smooth but unicorn is meant for its smoothness so cant say :/ but its a reputed company so must be fine too.
present competitors in w40 grade are (prices are as of in Mysore)
motul 5w40 (670rs-known for its oil level dropping prob so i wouldnt suggest this one)
    agip 5w40 (620rs-herd its good)
Shell ultra 10w40 (700rs- its ok is what ppl say)
Castrol power one Racing (750 to 850- All say its extremely good! )
pertonas sprinta 5000 (10w40-some heating issues so i WOULD NOT suggest for 150cc+ bikes including R15)

dude i am already using the agip & am satisfied with its performance. But i had never used the castrol full synthetic. Thats why i wanted to know the comparision.
If the performance of the castrol is better than that of agip then i might change my oil to castrol.

My bike is yamaha gladiator & i have run nearly 2500kms with the oil. Right now there is no drop in the level yet. The oil is working like charm in the bike. Very smooth engine & good response. Initially there was a kind of kad kad sound when i had used the oil for the first time. But later on it got solved.

yup it is. Although from few other xbhp members i have came to know that the castrol doesnt produce any full synthetic oil. But i dont know how far this is true

Even I had heard the same. But I recently checked out with a Castrol dealer and he said its very much in production but sales are less so they don't get it.

yes the sales are very less. Except the castrol power 1 racing all other oils of castrol are fast moving. Even that is a reason due to which we cannot expect any good discounts on the power 1 racing while i can get a discount on the agip due to its high sales. Maybe the castrol has done a bit high pricing of 750. In this price you can easily get a motul or an agip which are much better than the castrol (my personal opinion).

Hmmm.. Not tried the AGIP so far but Motul is good only in w50 grade. The 5w40 grade 300V FS oil isn't really great. When coming to W40 grade, I will blindly go with Castrol Power 1 Racing. I had an excellent experience with it when I had my Unicorn.

Yesterday while going for a Oil change I checked out Petronas,AGIP and Motul.

Strange thing I noticed was the date of make for the AGIP and Petronas-Sprinta 4T 5000 was september 2008. They say they didn't receive stocks after that...Usually how long is the life of an engine oil?

I went for Motul 300V 15W50 at Rs.870 ...pretty expensive...hope it lasts for atleast 5000-6000kms...

Note : Stay away from Shell Full Synth...Had a very bad experience. Oil dried out in a meagre 3100kms and it costs 750 freaking bux

Same thing here in INDORE with the petronas, all stocks are of sept and oct 2008.

Na, MOTUL FS can be safely stretched to 4000-5000kms.
But how the FS oil evaporates is still mystry to me.

It happens everytime with the FS??

I have used FS (petronas) once for 3700kms but it was till the level for the whole kms, but with Apar, the oil dried completely after i think 3000kms.

Hope so...this is turning out to be an expensive affair...Why the hell do they claim then for 6000-7000kms?? Is it only on Liquid/Oil cooled engines?
