Thanks for the link. After the launch of P200NS and new bike till June end 2012, I expect very strong sales from Bajaj in July, August and coming months. And they say the new Discover will be priced at 42,000K (the monoshock one?). If its the model we had seen then at 42K it would be a killer on that segment. The too basic models will take a hard blow. This new Disco is gonna sell like anything.

The 42k Discover is not the one with monoshock. The commuter with monoshock is expected to be the "ground up" bike Rajiv Bajaj is talking about. It could well be on the same terms with Discover, but very slim chances of it being the Discover itself. Because there is no point in launching the new Discover now (in May) and then again in June.

You're right. 42K for the spotted Disco is just too less. I think its a new variant of Discover. Albeit a simple one with the ordinary stereo shocks.

        • @shibadip : mate , for ur query via pm :
The banner show the red and the blue 200ns..no signs of single tone anywhere. As of now , in kerala , you can book almost any bike with a meagre 1000rupees and above , unless it is a superbike. The same is the case with the 200ns.just rs.1000 to book. We get a choice in tyres : Either the tvs eurogrip / Mrf zappers.. My dealer said deliveries would start on may. She promised that the onroad price will be under a lakh over here..i dont know whether i can believe her.

Hey thanks Buddy. I guess the dealer did'nt quote any differential price for the choice on tyres..
Also since the Blue one was on the Banner, thus its release is also for sure.

                          • Hyosung plans India-specific off-road bike

Reposting..as new thread seems to be not approved..

Hyosung is developing a 250cc off-road bike especially for India. The bike will be called as RT250D and will be an elder sibling to the already existing RT125D which is sold globally. We expect it to hit Indian shores sometime between March and May 2013 and it will be assembled locally.

Meanwhile, to add momentum to its ambitious plans, Garware Motors has set up another plant – a Greenfield project spread across 25 acres in Wai, near Pune. The company has spent Rs 65 crore (excluding the cost of land) in setting up this second facility. The new plant will have three assembly lines that will churn out 10 bikes per line, per shift, per day and will be operational soon to assemble the upcoming GT250R sportsbike and the stylish GV650 cruiser. Garware-Hyosung is also contemplating establishing an engine assembly setup at their second plant to reduce costs and a concrete decision is expected in near future. Taking its pan-India footprint to 18, Garware recently added three more cities – Coimbatore, Aizawl and Guwahati –to its dealership network.
