Q1. do i need to take NOC as i will be in blore for the next 6-9 months.
Q2. do i need to pay road tax in blore again?
Q3. can i retain the same AP number or should i re-register my bike?

i wont be in banglore after assignment this is for sure.. so please let me know the best thing to do now. as of now i am in banglore and i feel i am missing my bike very very badly... i am worried how it is with my friends

    so please help me....

@mod, if i am posting in wrong section please help me out in posting into right one.
I had the same case, I went to Bangalore twice on an assignment for about 7 months. I did not take NOC as I did not want to re-register my bike there. I just transported it&rode it. NOC is for permanent moving to other States.
However, if you are caught you need to pay up the road tax for a year.
What I suggest is: If you don't want to be scared while riding your vehicle then go&pay up 1 year's road tax, keep a receipt of that with you&ride your bike happily there. KA cops stop AP bikes strictly, they know no one pays road tax for even a few months stay.
Keep the LR of the train/transport with you-you can have it for 1 week's time. Within that you need to pay up the road tax at KA.
Or else keep riding without paying anything&hoping no cop catches you!

The bike is registered with Delhi number.

My younger brother wants to take this bike to Pune (where he will live for next 4 years)

I want to know what is the exact procedure and formalities required to transfer this bike to Pune

Like I have heard that some NOC is required (who will issue this NOC?)
      1. What formalities needs to be done in New Delhi?
      2. What needs to be done once bike reaches Pune?

I will be very thankful if someone can help me on this
Also what is the expected time line (to issue NOC etc) and cost involved.

      According to the rule:

      1) if you want to take your bike or car to another state, then for the 1st one month you dont have to pay road tax or reregister. if you plan to stay beyond 1 month you have to pay a nominal road tax applicable in that state for a period not more than 1yr. and if you plan to stay beyond 1 yr , then you have to re register your vehicle. its mandatory.

      2) for re registration you need to get an NOC from the RTO where your bike is registered.

      3) following documents are needed.
      - original RC book,
      -original insurance (valid one)
      -pollution under control certificate
-road tax receipt (if its not mentioned in your RC book)
-pencil print of your bikes chassis no and engine no (no of copies needed will be given in the NOC from)
-NOC from your nearest police station( police station under whose jurisdiction your locality comes) basically its a certificate from the officer in charge of the station stating that your vehicle is not involved or wanted in any pending case whatsoever and they have no objection to your vehicle being granted NOC from the RTO.

      4) approach the RTO with these documents and get the prescribed form for the NOC from the RTO, fill it pay the fee and submit the documents.the form has to be signed by the person in whose name the bike is registered.

      5) you will get the NOC in 1 or 2 weeks time depending on the situation there in your RTO. meanwhile you can keep the receipt with you to show the cops that you have applied for NOC in such case they cannot fine you.

      6) once you get the NOC take all the necessary documents ,your NOC and proof of residence, identity proof and insurance , puc and of course the bike to the RTO( impo point to note is to keep the bike in proper stock condition ,like the original color, saree guard, crash guard, functioning indicators and light, oem horns, and of course the rear view mirrors ) where you want to obtain your new registration.

      7) you need to pay the roadtax applicable at that time.

      8) once you paid the roadtax at your new place you can apply for refund of road tax which you paid at the earlier RTO.the procedure is very tedious and would involve a lot of headache to get the refund.

      hope this clarifies everything.

I used the train. If you are travelling by the same train you can be there when you get it packed, loaded&unloaded&nothing will happen to it, not even a single scratch.
Don't mention a very high value for your bike, 2% of that amount is added to the transport costs, for insurance purpose. I mentioned value of my bike as Rs. 10,000&the total came upto around Rs.500 one way, tips&packing charges extra.

Chennai to Trichy is less than 350kms via NH45.

I suggest you ride down the bike instead of having to go through so much trouble. Its cheaper to ride than transport your bike, considering that your bike would be giving about 40kmpl atleast!

I want to move my hyderabad registered bike to Bangalore for a period of 6 months, do i need to get NOC and re-register it in bangalore?

I went through this link Central Motor vehicle Act 1988 section 47 and my understanding is until 12 months i will be fine without any additional documents. is this right?
