Hey guys which polish do you suggest for Activa ? I have been hearing that Waxpol Venyl/Leather polish is good for the black plastic parts but for the outer body which one to go for ? Whether Formula 1 Wax / Amway Silicon Wax Liquid or 3M Premium Liquid polish ?

Misconception; may be your experience depending upon the product; I've been using FinnishKare, Meguiars & CarproX, they're gem of products, esp CarPro PERL, which is super duper product & does real magic, especially on tires. The dressing stays clean upto a week, needless to say about the plastics.

FinishKare - 108AS Top Kote - Perfect Product for Tyres no extra bling bling and doesnt attract dust.

I have not heard about the product CarProX

I'm an extensive applicator and re-seller of Car Pro products in India and PERL is a Water Based dressing hence it doesn't attract as much dust as the other ''products''. But still attracts dust !
I have worked on close to about 280+ motorcycles and have used PERL extensively on Plastics, Tyre and Trim etc. Dressing stays almost for a week as mentioned by you however I still say that it attracts a lot dust and lots of unnecessary bling-bling.

There is a product called UTTG - Ultima Tyre and Trim Guard Plus- Perfect product. However its a little pricey for purchase. This is perfect for Tyre and Trim.

My best go to products for hassle free application/purchase are - UTTG -Ultima Tyre and Trim Guard Plusand FinishKare TopKote 108AS

However, the best product for Tyre and Trim is Solution Finish- No supplier in India yet

Thanks for the reply and links. I was using this Formula 1 Carnauba Paste Wax I guess I have mistaken that Teflon and Wax terms are the same. So if wax polishing is good for our bikes, how often can we use it? Also for not so premium bike like mine P220, shouldn't it be a waste of money if I go for premium wax?

Edit - can I use the above mentioned Wax on my car's glasses?, my aim is to to repel the rain drops effectively.

you can wax it post washing the vehicle, ensure that the surface is squeaky clean- and always apply wax in cool dry areas. Never under the hot sun or when there is moisture on the surface.

You can use the wax on car glass windsheid and you will really be amazed at the water beading and sheeting.. always keep in mind that waxes and sealants attract a lot of dust and formula1 does the most... so think twice before you apply on windshield. Wax is traditional and even a Pro Detailer like me would love.

I would choose wax over sealants anyday.

Thanks for the tips. Although it is an expensive route for me. I'm really amazed by how your CBR reflects like a glass, I have seen some videos on youtube where in other countries there are people who does this for their cars.

I wash my bike every week or so, my father says to my wife that your bike is going to be deteriorate not because of usage, because of my extensive washing/waxing/lubing every time.

Thanks , Thats a professional detailing result BTW. We match international standards and often surpass them with and are underrated.

Washing everyweek is something even i dont advocate as you will end up inducing more swirls and lines onto the paint. Wash it - Wax it - once in two weeks should be enough.

A decent paint correction (swirl removal and polish) will bring out the blue flakes in the paint (on a p220 - midnight black). we term this as flakepop

Please post some pictures of your P220.
