Hi, I have a Cbr150r and will be waxing it soon, with Collinite845, can anyone tell me if it's safe to use the wax on stickers?

Safe, unless the wax is reactive on stickers

Yeah, should be fine, I researching and a lot of people have used it on decals without problems, many have used 845 on matte parts too, wipe on and wipe off, they say it worked like a charm. It leaves a residue though if you let it stay, Will try that.

Also, anyone can tell whether Honda SVC are good at touching up, my bike's paint has peeled a bit at two spots n I will go hard on them. How good is a touch up?

I was very sad when it started raining the moment I took delivery of the vehicle. I am kind of guy who loves to keep bikes in showroom condition but unable to do so till now cause I was worried of damaging the paint or doing it improperly. Was quite happy to find such a dedicated thread here. Rode through it completely but some doubt's still still persist.
I have Amway wash and cream polish.
Shall I continue with it or change. Any specific reason for that.
I had some swirls on the tank from the day one. Want to remove that but which rubbing compound to go for??
          Which Collinite is better??
          There are three..
One is a hard wax i.e. some 4** series
One is liquid wax i.e. 845
Another is for fiberglass.. I know we have fiber parts but not sure if it's fiberglass, is the fiberglass one recommended above the other two mentioned above.. It is also some 8** series
Coming to the matte parts which brand of protectant
Any other valuable suggestion is most welcome
          Btw I ride a 200 Duke & 200 NS

Meguiars scratchX says it does the job, not sure as I haven't used

BTW, want to share my experience on the recent rains & it's effect on my CBR...

Recent (so called) rains has done more of damage than any good in the city in terms of stagnant water & slushy roads. I was quite surprised to see that I could simply wipe (WIPE) them off from my CBR just with a simple water (hard water) wash using wash mitt. There were no tar spots, no stains of mud or any other stains. This was absolutely awesome because I still recall in the 90's how much time I spent on my Max100 cleaning & cleaning & cleaning only to find out that I still need to clean. Some of the stubborn stains left me clueless as how to get them removed. But on CBR, these were absolutely missing. Thanks to ONR, Meguiars deep crystal polish, Collinite 845 & ofcourse, the wash mitt & MF's.

Once the monsoons are over, I'll get them detailed once again & will make a post as how much effort I'd to spend

Thanks RG for the quick reply.. You have been an active user here.. We got to learn a lot of things from you..

Well I meant the Amway Car Wash and Cream Polish..
Btw any specific reason you suggest the 476 over the 845 though you yourself use the same..
Why is the fiberglass one dropped?? I am just curious and interested to know some things, hope you don't mind the questions..
How much would the meiguars rubbing compound cost?? Is there any requirement of power tools for removing swirls.. Would I get a bad finish off used with normal hands..

Another thing is everybody is mixing waxing and polishing.. I thought they were to be done for different purposes waxing being more protective and longer lasting..
              Suggest a good paint sealant..

Plenty in market starting from Meguiars to 3M to Pinnacle to ONR; I'm more of a wax guy than sealant guy, so my knowledge is limited on this

Getting the wax and rubbing compound.. Detailing my bike should start one received and the questions shall follow with photos..

Guys am using collinite 476s for my R15... Great wax but i think it cant withstand chennai's heat. Summers take the temp to 40 here. Even the wax inside the tin has become liquid in the corners. So am thinking of changing to finish care high temp synthetic wax which can withstand 120 deg as claimed my manufacture. I just want to know how good it is.. Can anyone help me out???

I've been using Collinite 845 for over 2 years now & it has protected both my motorcycles like no other until now & there're no issues noted so far; much cheaper, easier to use & apply than 476. If the wax inside the tin melts, store it in a cooler/shady place inside the house.

And may i know how long it lasted for you if you dont mind?? I mean the whole bottle of wax if you wax it up once in a month..

Do it just like its written on the bottle and one bottle would last more than a year for bike.

                              Way easier than 476

For me - twice a month on CBR & Rx lasted for 2.5+ years; don't hold me if it didn't for you

Just had a conversation with Sanjay
As the Duke and Pulsar 200 NS do not have too much painted parts I was more interested in getting something to protect the vinyl and matte parts.
Sanjay recommended me Ultima Cycle Armor Plus for all round protection
But it is a paint sealant.. (Can I use wax over paint sealant)
For the swing arm and the frame he said Collnite 850 metal wax
And for the swirl marks on the tank Megs Swirl X

I am a confused guy now..
Wax for metal and sealant for paint... How good is the Megs swirl X and why is it not there on Megs India website??
