Well I hate to talk about mileage n even hate ppl who talk abt mileage, coz when we are promoting Biking as a Lifestyle... Mileage becums a big obstacle, aint it??? makes it almost impossible to promote Biking as a Lifestyle...

    neways, My M2 (Mean Machine) dats my Zma R + City = 30-35 km/lit. + Highway = 35-40 km/lit.

I wish i could get more mileage. If not for saving me money, but for saving me visits to petrol bunks, and big range of distance before hunting for petrol bunk.

      any way
My CBZ give 25-26 in easy city riding and 30-31 full throttle highway ride. Thanks to ZMA cam shaft.
My ZMA gives consistently 25kmpl where ever

Generally, i get around 52-55 on my A-150..a mix of both ripping and spirited riding!

The lowest i got was about 45-46 i guess, when bike was running in..rest never got below 50

PS- From what i have observed, R15 for it decent power, gives decent mileage too!!

gives 40-45 while riding above 7000RPM..... 70% of the time, tht includes bursts to 12000....

the worst was 35... (every shift was at 10500-11000)

                        Cbz-x

                        Bike: CBZX, August 2008
                        Odo: 12,8XX kms
worst mileage: 38 kmpl, during running in
                        best mileage: 52 kmpl

The distance I cover in one go makes a huge difference in mileage.
When my office was 4.5 kms one way, with 2.5 kms of riding in the first 3 gears with frequent shifting, i used to get 42-44 kmpl.

When my office shifted 10 kms one way, i used to get 47-48 kmpl on a consistent basis. On this route, i could ride in the 5th gear for around 5-6 kms, with speeds going up to 80 kmph on certain sections.

                        * All figures are in city riding.

My zma-r during running in :

                              0 - 300 kms - 31 kmpl.
                              300 - 930 kms - 42.5 kmpl. [ and i think from 500-930 (after 1st service) it has given even more than 43-44 kmpl.
so overall 37.8 kmpl - filled in fuel worth 1000 bucks... and got 930 kms from Reserve to Reserve.

much better than expected mileage. I'm pretty happy with that
