@pavan: Dts-i has nothing to do with exhaust design..thats something to do with ignition..and exhaustec is nothing but a small expansion chamber kind of box that help low/bottom end torque...and nope it does not sound loud because the exhaust is still heavily restricted. Also a good tuned length pipe made by a pro will cost anywhere from 3K to 5K INR..!! cheers

I know dts-i has nothing to do with exhaust. I mentioned it coz I was refering to the ExhausTEC which was first introduced in the pulsar dts-i edition

and a performance pipe can be made for any engine size...there is no theory that states that below 200cc you cannot have a performance pipe...im running one on my 180...ive seen tuned length pipes for engines as small as 23cc(used in R/c cars)...it all depends on the length of the header and the flow of the canister..!!
thats true .. free flow always tempts us to touch 12k mark on our bike

btw can you post a picture of your free flow ?

Tabhi to main soch raha tha ki aisa konsa performance exhaust aa gaya hai market mein...

And if the free flow exhaust alone is put in then that does not contribute in increase in performance, up-jetting too is required to get an increase in performance..!!

my 2 cents about free flow....

free flow in four strokes could just mean a huge unristrictive pipe its not rocket science...cut off your end can and.youll have a free flow exaust..
having used a hrc..i can definatly say its gonna be loud and its gonna increase you top end..but on the down side it proves totally useless in stop and go traffic..and also the initial low end torque of the bike is destroyed causing you to rev more to get going...causing your clutch plates to take a toll and if your not runing rich enough you could even end up with burnt exaust valve's.....its suggested to get the bike properly tuned after installing a free flow exaust system..

that is a local free flow i think and it will just fry the valves
                              no performance gain

dont know brother..but it does impart a menacing exhaust note....it's not so crappy like the other local made ones though.there's a slight increase in the performance.

@ themadrussian- did'nt know that before.
