I have a 2006 Model Zma and I am using the KRP exhaust for almost more than a year now. I am not sure about the Automech Exhause because I have not heard about it and never seen it. As for the KRP exhaust, it is good. No problems till date. Finishing is nice, no rattling till now and it definately gives a slight boost in the performance throughout rev range (My Observation). It sounds very nice too.

    Thanx for your reply

    Is KRP exhaust is durable???

      Well, I would say Yes!!
I have not experienced any issues till now. Its almost more than a year.
      No rattling, no loosening etc.

Since mine is not a Slip on type, hence the whole bend pipe was changed and it was in chrome. The only thing is that due to various reasons (Battery water leaking, or plastic sticking to your hot exhaust) there are some marks that have come on the chrome. But you can easily get them removed by using Nickel(I hope I am not wrong here. It is nickel only probably). You can ask any bullet wala guy. They use thing to clean all the chrome bits on BULLS and I have also tried it once it works wonders.

i would love to have full change for my bike but my bike is new right now only 3000km done so not going for engine modifications right now moreover he's too far for me to go there and get work done. i'm considering free flow exhaust but police here at chandigarh wont leave me for that sound plus foreign can on R15 they are pretty much intellegent compared to other states so its a problem here

I have a question here which I've been mulling over and would like a knowledgeable answer.

About 3 months back I seized my piston, found out the bike was losing oil and ran it dry, so I fixed the problem, got a new block/piston, carefully ran it in again and then a couple of months later...BAM, I've lost another piston, this time though the oil was not the problem. I've been running the same shot piston since and will eventually get it replaced again but a few days ago on my way back from work the bike sounded horribly farty and I was getting no useful compression from the cylinder. It was dark so I just parked and let it lay for the night, the next day I found a massive hole in the muffler and judging by the size of it I'd say it was leaking for quite a while...Interestingly when I placed my hand next to the hole I could feel massive suction on the intake stroke so the bike was pulling in exhaust gasses too and possibly running the cylinder very lean, which I suppose could have caused the seizure...so I welded up the hole and compression's back (as much as a blown piston can provide) but I'm thinking this could have caused the piston to fail...Could this be true?

I don't know enough about exhausts and my mech is out of town for a few days but I'd like some insight into this from the experts

                    thanks

                    • Interesting thread I must say. Bumped into this today only.
The exhausts available locally in this country are for sure secretly tuned power-eating ones. You need a system to boost power, not rob power.

                      • Hey Joel,

In your expert opinion, can a hole in the exhaust system cause piston failure? I'm suspecting this is what happened but I can't be sure, my mechanic says its the engine bearing that's failed but I think he's just covering his ass, The sound is unmistakably from the block...

                        thanks in advance
