Pulsar classic exhaust vs Pulsar Dtsi exhaust with torque expansion chamber

I am a bit confused. Which exhaust offers better performance in a pulsar. The classic's exhaust or the dtsi exhautec one?

By performance I mean better drivability and smoother performance.

By my own experiments it seems that a pulsar with a classic exhaust revs better but looses rpm/speed and mid range punch. the dtsi exhaust equipped pulsar revs less but has better mid range.

my question is does the dtsi exhaust offer better top speed and overall performance than the classic exhaust?

I think its better to go with the New one, Coz thats the only option left for you.

I don't think its really possible to find an used old exhaust in good condition.

just wanted to know a small info though.. Pulsar 150/180 have the ExhaustTec and Pulsar 200/220 have the huge muffler types.

Do we have Catalytic converter in any of these ? As per BS III and BS IV norms catalytic is advised, but I never had a chance to investigate in bike.

can we powder coat th exhausts of any bike
what ive heard is if we powder coat them the internal parts of the silencer may get damaged is it true ?

Tech hardy custom exhaust for RTR 180

Its been a good 6 months on my Apache RTR 180.....it has done 6k kms on the odo i had installed a K&N+Splitfire wire+ Iridium spark plugs on it at 3k kms....Had to change the tyre to a wider one too coz the same size was nt available anywhere....

NOW i want to install a Free flow exhaust on it.......

1. I checked out the Joel's FFE but its way too costly(7500+600) for me as i in these 6 months i have already invested a good 15 k on my beast

2. I want it with a Db killer....coz my locality is a Army cantonment where peace and harmony is the only thing to enjoy

3. I have finally found a custom ffe exhaust for my bike though......i found it at the MXS MOTOSPORT site...... it a TECH HARDY CUSTOM EXHAUST ..with a DB killer ...he quoted a rs.3200/- for this one

4. he told me it has 2 modes to 1 is street mode and other is racing mode how ever no idea abt this plzz tell me if u knw wat is this,.......nd the most important question is "WILL I HAVE A MILEAGE DROP"


5. Finally plzz tell me tht whether i shld go for this exhaust or not...nd if there is any other option do tell me ......im posting a pic of it here too..

he said the mileage will nt be affected if i keep the db killer on nd if i remove it i will experience a mileage drop of 3-4 kmpl .....but he told me removing the db killer is just for racing

i would love to have full change for my bike but my bike is new right now only 3000km done so not going for engine modifications right now moreover he's too far for me to go there and get work done. i'm considering free flow exhaust but police here at chandigarh wont leave me for that sound plus foreign can on R15 they are pretty much intellegent compared to other states so its a problem here

If u want it without tht loudness.....in cities and a blast on the race tracks u can go for a custom tech hardy exhaust it comes with a DB killer .......in cities u keep the db killer on and once u hit the track just....get the juice out of ur bike at the cost of ur ears

yes but i need some expert advice on this coz my bike has just clocked 6k on odo...and its just 5.5 moths old
