Re: [UT]: Tuning your Motorcycle Carburettor.
how to tune a crab without tachometer. with tachometer we can adjust and set the needed rpm in engine, but without it? i have seen good mechanics listening to the engine and tuning it. but how? i got a chetak and an rx 100. how to tune them? they both dont have tachometer. I can tune bikes with tachometer.I'm a responsible rider. It doesn't matter what you ride, but what matters is how you ride.

Carburetor Thread
Yesterday i saw my bike's carburetor drain pipe fallen in ground near my bike. This was done by a small street dog. Thing is installing back was very difficult. For that i would need to open many parts of the bike. Like air filter box, tank cover and tank.
So i wanted to know what are the possible consequences of not having carburetor drain pipe installed.
It doesn't matter still if it helps my bike is pulsar 200ns
I want help from everyone so please don't merge this post with ownership thread.

Yamaha SS125 carburetor options. Need help.
Hi Everyone,
I have a Yamaha SS125 and I have been experiencing something really weird with it. It is somewhat brand new as it has done just 3000km on the odometer but it seems to have an almost endless problem with erratic idling. I had it checked with the Yamaha service so may times, they would do something, the thing idles clean for sometime and then again
Looks like the carburetor in this thing has a mind of its own.
I was thinking about giving it a carburetor swap and was wondering if anyone out here could help me with a few suggestions. The SS125 runs a Mikuni BS24 (24mm) carburetor by the way. I am also trying to figure out if anyone else have been facing the same problem and how they got rid of too. If I could do the same too, I could keep the BS24 and still enjoy my ride. Please help.
Cheers!

Help needed regarding assembling carburetor.
Hi guys, recently i dismantled and assembled carburetor of gs 150r to remove power drop at 5000 RPM. But now there is no enough power past 5000 RPM. My doubt is that there might me a vacuum leak at the output side of the carburetor. I suspect that an O-ring might have gone missing. Below is the picture of outlet side of my bikes carburetor. You can see a brown liquid (Petrol) at the face of the carburetor and there is no O-ring on it.
I have also attached the picture of outlet side of a carburetor that i found on the Internet. It has an O-ring on it.
What do you guys think?, Does it look like my carburetor is missing an O-ring?. Please help.

Re: [UT]: Tuning your Motorcycle Carburettor.
There could be many reasons for erratic ideling change
1) kaput carb (stuck or dragging flat needle
2) adulterated fuel
3) dirt in carb
4) water in tank
5) leak in carb hoses that connects to engine and to air filter box
6) air filter issue
7) throattle cabel issue
8) tps issue
9) spark plug is dirty or gap is not perfect
10) spark plug cap or wire issue
11) cdi issue(unlikely)
Check all one by one.

Re: [UT]: Tuning your Motorcycle Carburettor.
Use carb spray in the air jets. Open and clean the bowl, main jet and pilot jet. Spray carb cleaner in to the main and pilot jet slots. That should be enough.Originally posted by Divyanshp150 View PostI need to clean my pulsar carb.
What do you suggest?
Dismantling it completely or judt using carb cleaning spray from thr air filter place?

Be careful not to catch the carb spray in the eyes. Use some protective eye gear.
