Its been a while that my scale model hobby was put on hold and hence didnt visit this thread.

A belated but sincere thanks to ameyashogun, ajay, sherry_unicornlover, salman.rvf & ironman.

    SOME GOOD NEWS...
I am jump starting the thread again as I have added a few more bikes to my humble collection and as always its a pleasure to share it with all of you. I was also lucky to get my hands on some rare classic bikes from the early 70s in the 1:18 scale (I think these highly detailed scale models are also out of production now). Will put up the pics in a day or two.

Also later to follow my scale model bus collection.

Well Haroon you are one great chap who owns all these models. Well iam the list too but not as close as you are. Btw my liking is for cars, frankly i love bikes too but in real and not in toy models...Well that history about bikes. Now talking about cars i have a cupboard full of em... The collection is more than i can think of right now in my office cubical....i like the frame you created for display, iam looking for the same the current cupboard is not enough and some of them are in my study table and all over my room, is there any specific way to create it, i mean i do see you holding tapes and cutting machines to chop every piece of wood....

Please guide me through it...You might find some models in my signature link but they are just half of em..I have sent u a PM check that and do reply!!

      Keep em coming!!!!

Thanks Eshan-P180. Sure this is a nice passion we both share.
I have replied to your PM.

For the display stand, I had made the design myself and had the frame fabricated from a workshop with steel square section tubes-20mm. I found it the ideal size to screw in holes, comparatively light & less intrusive while looking at the display stand and it can hold the required weight. Also put small castor locable wheels at the bottom just in case you need to move the stand around the room. The shelfs are regular thin plywood, which all I cut by myself. The cover is a made of plexiglass as its lighter and unbreakable, but here in saudi arabia you have to buy the full sheet and its fairly expensive.

Personally for me a scale model display stand has to give out some life in it & thats why I included some settings in the background. Also working out on something for my small bus collection.
