It shows the engine oil and combustion burn. The ground electrode and center electrode shows lean burning . The outer ring of the spark plug is much colder since the heat is dissipated through the head...so due to the cooling effect you will see combustion deposits on the outer body ring...if you go on a drive of about 30~ 40 Kms of steady speed of 50~70 Kmph, these deposits will reduce. It is the comparative heat difference between the plug metal and combustion chamber that makes it happen...if the deposit becomes more, then you should check if it is dry or wet...dry means rich AFR and wet means engine oil seeping through the rings..
        Good Luck..

        • 8 years 51,000 km old spark plug change

          Hello,
Today i changed my 2011 Pulsar 220 spark plugs.
Bike has clocked 51000 km and these are original plugs that came with bike.
They were working but i was feeling lack of power while driving bike.

I have Installed NGK CPR8E conventional spark plugs that costed 96 each.

It's good that you've replaced your spark plugs. From the looks of it the center electrode is completely blunt and your ground terminal tab is bent inside, suggesting improper care on both the plugs.

Periodically clean the plugs, and adjust the gap only if necessary.

            Cheers!

            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
