Yup, i do understand that i need be aware about my surroundings but even if i keep a regular watch on my RVM then also i wont be able to make out if a person is honking..until and unless i listen to its sound.

Time for a quick update - I just tested the Ear-Plugs that I picked up for Rs.10 per pair and they work brilliantly.

They are identical to the ones I used in the USA and they do a fantastic job of blocking out sound. Also - they have a string that ties them together so you don't lose them and you get them out of your ears easily with a gentle tug on the string.

Well worth the money - I can get them much cheaper if I place a bigger order so going there to negotiate today. I don't want to use the same pair for more than 24 in-ear hours if I can avoid it.

I would want a few pairs myself as well. And if it can be couriered to Bangalore to a single address, then praful and myself can pick it up from there.

I never knew about ear protection till date.
I have only being using my Sennheiser cx 300-in ear earphones during long rides.
Now I will consider City riding also.
One question. How advisable will it be to simply plug in my earphones( without music) for a certain amount of noise cancellation?

I was using the ear plugs that you get on shop floors of heavy engineering factories. Very effective in keeping in reducing wind noise!

But I lost my pair just in about 2 rides, haven't been able to get one after that!

Im sure all this high speed wind noise has made me deafer by a bit...

GS, would'nt a in ear headphone be as good?

Guys - they don't do 50 pairs. Theirs is a minimum order of 100 pairs. Talk to them but I don't think they will do it.

email me before you order anyway - if they don't agree to ship, I'll help pick-up and ship-out etc.

I think they were talking Rs.750 for 500 pairs if you order in bulk - that is awesome VFM! I'll be picking up 500 pairs if they hold to their offer.
