@shrinathrao: Go to "gadgets" shop on fc road, just above barista. You will get anything related to ps2 there.
@All: I dont have much knowledge about computers hardware part. I just wanted to know whether i can fix a graphic card on my motherboard.
Here is the picture of my board.

Thanks for the superfast reply Aryan.
So that means if i want to install a good graphic card say an ATI radeon hd 5000 series or a Gforce 9400gt 0r 9500gt i would have to upgrade my motherboard
.
There are various things which i would have to buy new with motherboard. If possible can you tell me what are they.
Thanks a lot for the help.

@Andy: I am not sure whether there are still 4x AGP cards available in the market or not. Perhaps, someone else can reply to this. However, if you do upgrade the motherboard, I would suggest you upgrade everything sans the monitor, i.e., starting from the power-supply to the CPU, RAM & perhaps even the HDD (if required).

The last of the last AGP cards is (technically) available, a GTS250 if I recall correctly, but its an AGP 8X and really hard to find here.
That looks like a Pentium-4 setup. You would have to change the entire setup. New CPU, Board, RAM, possibly the PSU, maybe the HDD if the new board does not have IDE, and other stuff you might want to add in, like gfx.
Big-time expenses coming your way if you do upgrade!200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

best is go to grant road if u go to mumbai.... if anywhere u can get graphics card of 4x it will be there
i can suggest hd 3850
but do confirm from the vendor whether it is 4x compaitable or not
my advice get a new motherboard and start over
as lot of heavy graphic gamin will not work on ur system despite the g. card

Well I'm not much of an AMD follower, but Quad-Core processors are always the best suited for games like GTA, So if I'm correct the Phenom II Quad X4 900 series are looking pretty good in their spec sheets with clock speeds ranging from 2.8Ghz for the entry level 925 to 3.4 for the top-end 965, their pricing goes something like thisOriginally posted by andy.rebels View PostThanks all for the reply..
I am looking more of an amd cpu and motherboard
My main moto is to play GTA 4....
Possibly dual channel ram and a graphic card..
How much this would cost, would appreciate if you could give individual pricing of each component.
X4 925: 7100/-INR
X4 945: 7675/-INR
X4 955 BE: 8250/-INR
X4 965 BE: 9100/-INR
And since the price difference between DDR2 and DDR3 RAM is 200 rupees between them Trancend/Kingston DDR2 costs about 27xx whereas the DDR3 from the same companies are 29xx, though this gap may be wider (about 1000) for higher spec RAM's like the OCZ, either way it's a safe investment to put in that 200 more and get yourself a DDR3 RAM and it's suitable Mobo if you're planning on periodic upgradation, else you can go all out with a DDR2 setup also. Here are some mobo prices for the AMD processors
ASUS M4A78LT-M LE (DDR3): 4450/-INR
ASUS M4A78-EM-1394: 4450/-INR
ASUS M4A78STD-V-EVO (DDR3): 6500/-INR
ASUS M4A77TD PRO: 5300/-INR
Gigabyte MA78GMT-USB3 (DDR3): 5850/-INR
These are just a few models to give an idea of where the range is, there a lot more models you could choose from, some even more expensive according to the features they come with, it's really your preference that can help you narrow down the better model for the comp. For the graphic card I would suggest you allocate a good part of your budget if you're planning on some heavy graphic work or gaming in mind, fix a budget and try to evaluate which card works best and satisfies most of your needs, a good 10k to 15k will mostly help you reach for the cards at the higher end of the table. The prices are subject to change without prior notice, and AFAIK can be pretty heavily specific to the location too sometimes. Hope it helped

What is your budget, and what resolution will you be playing at?
