Guys, any idea have they hiked the price of Speed 97, it was 70/litre(in Bangalore) before the hike...

PS: They didnt reduce Speed 97 when they reduced the fuel prices a while ago...

I have just fueled my ZMA with 710 INR of normal petrol.

Oh then at the most saved 75.00. But that is not the end of journey.

Hi friends,
I was suggested from one of mine cousin brother that using petrol additive
like system G .....
I want to know that is it correct to use those additives available in market or just fill in bike with extra premium,power brands..

I would like to know which petrol should be used such as Speed,Power or Unleaded ?
Also leaded petrol bring changes to our milage or improves other performance?
Does unleaded petrol cause damage to our engine or decrease performance?

Precisely what I wanted to say! I have been using "normal" unleaded petrol ever since I started riding, with the exception of probably a few times, when just for the heck of it, I tried "xTra Premium" petrol, but I failed to find ANY difference whatsoever. Call me lame, but that is what I felt.

I am using normal petrol, and everything is just as good (if not better) when using xTra Premium or Speed or any such "high performance" fuel!

All fuels retailed are generally good for all types of engines. Adulterated petrol is harmful for engines, we really can't make out which is adulterated and which is not, I think we need few more brave Manjunath Shanmugams to sacrifice their lives for clean petrol across our country (*)
Premium fuels are good, I found Xtra premium (IOCL) to be very good quality fuel plus it gives smooth engine performance and better mileage.

Go for Xtra Premium and pray it's just Xtra premium !!

(*) HP is coming up with GPS enabled distribution tankers and dispensing units for more transparent , not sure how much implementation has been done on nation-wide basis.

I never found any great diff. when I pour high or low or xtra or normal fuel.
Besides avg jitna milna hain utna he dega. After all these engines can't go beyond it's particular limit in avg matter..... Perfect tuning + pure petrol + perfect engine is the perfect equation for AVG.

Now petrol is unleaded only. <<<for one query.

There isn't any difference,for any kind of bikes we use..

if you ride a R1 you would know what difference Normal and Speed97 makes..that is the same reason,
That is why we use Normal instead of Premium or Rather any other, Speed97 offcor's makes a difference!

The only person's, whose bike i have seen xTra premium making an effect is SUVRAT, (a delhi xBhpian) on a quite good modified CBZ Extreme.Because he is a Govt. Servant,and gets fuel from there only,the quality of fuel is Bloody Amazing!
