Guys I am looking for a 150 cc bike with budget of around 30000. I have shortlisted 2006-2007 model Pulsar and 2007-08 model Unicorn.

Which one would be better? And secondly, what will be the best way to buy. Someone suggested VV Puram market... Another guy suggested SPM motor world in Frazer town. Will they be safe?

    Please help..

    Looking forward to your replies..

        Hi arnab3112,

Are you from Bangalore? If so, I have a 2005 Pulsar 150 dtsi for sale that is sparingly used and well maintained. Do let me know if you are interested.

9K run bike just 2 years old.. Thats a good price for it.

Confirm 9K run.. Look for the manufacturing date on the tyres. If they are post 2010 era, its an extensively run bike, whose tyres are changed.

Please note: I am not sure whether bike tyres have manufacturing date. But car tyres have it for sure.

                Used N250R

Though I'm aware of this query being more relevant in the Ninja thread, what would be a good price to pay for a single owner stock Ninja 250R run for 20-30k kms/ 2-3 years? By stock I mean no performance upgrades, aftermarket exhausts. Minor visual additions (tank pads, rim stripes) can't be avoided I guess.

Just because the use has been over 20K I would put the pricing in range of 1.60 to 1.80 however you need to be very care-full in such deals as post 15K most of these bikes require new chain, sprocket, air filter (usually post 12K), tires which can set you back for another 25K or so...

Make sure you get these parts checked before you make your decision.

N250 is a great machine and I am sure if maintained properly she can perform the same way for over 90K kms or maybe even more...

Re: Points to be considered when buying used bikes

Never get a discontinued bike unless you have passion to maintain it
Check the owner history and stay away from abused bike.
Don't worry about reliability especially if you are getting a bike which is manufactured after 2008 they won't make you stranded just ensure that you get a low run bike

                            Hi guys!
I am getting a second hand 2 stroke bike and looking forward to restore it.
The only problem is the owner does not have its papers but has affidavit from court stating the bike belongs to him.
How safe is it to buy the bike from him? Any risks/issues i should be aware of?

                            I really like his bike.
