I remember, this has been posted and discussed before on the forum. If the ABS technology is that cheap (which I doubt), why its not being offered/developed by the manufacturers yet in large volumes? I think I read on xbhp itself that TVS has this on one of its bike but the price difference is huge between the ABS and Non-ABS version.

Its a good news to all moto lovers in India that an Indian based company actually manufactures Mechanical ABS systems themselves.
The system was introduced by company called EATA Plast Fabrics. And they currently manufacture Mechanical ABS for Indian motorcycles. When I saw the article related to ABS in “Bike India” magazine I was very curious to understand it. But since no one has ever got an ABS system in India which can be fitted to any of our Indian made motorcycles. I bought the system online and tested it on a ThunderBird Twin Spark and a Bajaj Avenger.
The result was amazing. I could instantly feel the change between both the brakes, I meant, without and with ABS. The bike can stop without skidding under hard braking. The system works 2-3 times per second. When rider presses the brake lever it applies variable pressure to the brake pads hence making sure that the brakes maintain maximum pressure while keeping wheel lock aside on any surface.
But it depends on vehicle speed. If the speed or load of the motorcycle is high then the system works faster. That means the system is activated 2-3 times every second the brakes are applied. This system is relies on some mechanical spares. The unit is quite small and can fit onto any motorcycle without any alterations or changes. You can roll back to original if you don’t want it.

Bajaj has got a different threading style. So EATA Plast Fabrics provides spares for that too. You can order ABS online through Saferide ABS .

Thanks Jiten Mistry Sir...Any idea what actually happens when you fit that golden device ?....on their web site they have put the video of ABS and non ABS..but the bikes in the vdo doesn't seem to be indian bikes with tha device fitted...

As per Bosch site, it will fit any motorcycle. This device is working independently.

But question is still remaining, when it will available in India and what cost?

The old Bosch ABS system M4 kit cost around 5890 Euro (as per below site)

hmmmm... the one from indian company saferide ABS...instaed of ABS we can call it as a mechanical device that delays locking of the wheel...***NOT PREVENTS*** and obviously BOSCH one will be any time better ( if its affordable )......

On Wheels which bike you have fitted that device on ? I own pulsar 180 UG3...it seems for bajaj bikes the spares needed are different...how can we ensure we get the right spare thru online order ? is there any option to specify manufacturer/model while ordering online ?

Custom ABS Fitment

Hello Guys,
Just today, I came across ABS system for bikes with non-ABS braking system. Can anyone tell me whether this is genuine and whether such a system can be fitted to a non-ABS braking system without any worries? I am a bit hesitant because, IMO, fiddling with braking system can be dangerous. If such a system can be fitted, I would like to try this on my NS. Given the benefits of an ABS system, I suppose, the one listed here is available for quite a reasonable amount.

Is it an Electronic ABS System with disk sensor of a Mechanical ABS unit which is to be fitted before the caliper? the later one is purely a Mechanical one with no advantages which i have fitted on my bike. The electronic ABS unit in my opinion is a very complicated job to fit on a non ABS bike

This is a Mechanical ABS. I am sure I saw it earlier in the XBHP. I also agree with you that E-ABS is much more reliable
