    Re: Custom ABS Fitment

Thanks, Guys. I too recalled reading about the TVS Apache 180 ABS version that the ABS in it is microprocessor controlled. Maybe, I thought that this might be of some help. But, carefully reading its features/working seems to be more of a risk using this attachment, as one won't be able to use hard braking in need of extreme conditions.

Well what's the final verdict ? Is having a mechanical ABS worth ? In an Non ABS bike ? . Or is it better just to stick with the non ABS brakes ?

Can anyone tell me whether this is genuine and whether such a system can be fitted to a non-ABS braking system without any worries? I am a bit hesitant because, IMO, fiddling with braking system can be dangerous. If such a system can be fitted, I would like to try this on my NS. Given the benefits of an ABS system, I suppose, the one listed here is available for quite a reasonable amount.
Are you using the system now ??.... if yes how's the performance ?. Is it worth it ?

Mechanical ABS is useless. It doesn't cover all scenarios and it is not fail proof. Electronic ABS is a complicated unit and uses a host of sensors and ECU calibrations to keep the rider planted, which cannot be implemented on a non ABS ECU.

After Market ABS for bikes...Is it a good product ??

To all the knowledgeable ones here, i had a query or a suggestion which i hope is discussed and a conclusion arrived at...

My steed is a Gixxer SF and i bought it way before thr ABS version was launched.

My Car is equipped with ABS and recently on all long drive, i almost crashed into a truck which suddenly switched lanes but ABS kicked in and lives were saved. I understood the importance of ABS more than ever before.

Recently i came across this product,

Was wondering if any of you have used it and/or if this is a good product, A usable alternate to not having ABS equipped ? Or if there are similar products ?

The biking Gods, Please enlighten !
