    Hi Friends....
My name is Som and i'm looking for my First Bike....
I've shortlisted 2 and i'm so damn confused........
    My choices are...
    1. Yamaha Fzs
    2. Pulsar 135Ls
    Here's some info about me..
    Height : 5ft 6inchs
    Weight : 65 kgs
    Budget : 75k-80k
The bike will be mostly used for To & Fro to office say about 20kms n occasionall long drives for about 150kms..
Wat i'm looking in the bike is fun to drive and good handling....I'm cool with the FE around 40km/l...
Expert members contribution will be highly appriciated....Guys pls help...
    Thanks in Advance....

If budget and lower FE is not a problem then FZs wins handsdown in all aspects. Go for FZ.

FZ fits the bill better than the P135 in fun to ride and handling scenario. FE is on par with your expectation. Low end torque and handling are like a dream on teh FZ.

P135 gives better mileage, and costs much lower too. The fun part of riding is pretty sober in the P. The engine revvs up very well but is comparitively peaky for traffic riding. If you take the FZ out of comparison for city traffic, then the P is good.

If money & FE is not a big concern then go for the fz with your eyes closed. It has the lead in almost everything (reliability, comfort, torque etc etc.)

Go for p135 only if you want a bike with better speed & are tight on the budget & mileage
NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT

i am no expert...but if the budget is 75-80K y don't u add Apache to ur list it perfectly suits ur height, has a very good rev up if u handle it properly the bike shud not be problem in future...i cudnot bcoz it did not suit my height...

els i wud say go for FZ, i dont understand y hav u chosen P135 at first place...with budget of 75-80K and not bothered abt mileage...add some more bucks n get a P220 or P180....both pillion and rider will njoy the ride instead of just rider in case of FZ.

                  It has to be FZ.

And you call 150 KM a long trip?

Yes, FZs meets your requirement.. Good in style & suffice all what you want. Can easily do long trips without a hitch.! But only concern is, IMO the uncomfort for the pillion on a long stretch. I have experienced it on my friends bike, so just spotted the point. Else its the best from your list. I know, people have even done Leh on this machine .. Hence its tested & proved.. So no worries.

Why cant 150km be a long trip. It depends on the riders experience, which surely increases each time. Even for some 50kms is a long trip. 150 or 1500 kms, each ride is important & long. No probs with that..! Even for many of us in early days, riding 100kms felt like - leaving early morning & reaching by evening

I havent even done a single long trip, and when I do it, it will be nothing less than 300 km/day.

So it varies for different riders. Even for many 300kms is quiet a short trip
                        enough OT's from me.. Bye

@hydbiker... I'm with you on this....I've test ridden both the bikes and was floored with the handling n stability of the FzS.its awesome...but i felt it lacked the zippiness of P135... i'm not a expert of course but somehow i liked the sudden acceleration of P135....the other thing that i liked in P135 was the clip on handlebars...It gives a sporty stance... but when overall look comes FZs is the winner....

@Raghav.... Same here bro.. No expert Just bit confused... I've driven the RTR160 which 1 of my friends own but didn't really liked it to be honest...No offence...and about Pulsar220..definitely liked it but with the Projecter headlamps....which i heard is discontinued.. BTW wat would be the price of P220??? Any idea...
