Simple ... You want it for solid 5 + year's ... Honda is the only go then ... No point in keep on confusing yourself. As you can see ... Being an student in economics I can promise you only one thing ... Fuel price in India will never go down :P And inflation will be there for the next 2 year's
Since you gonna depend on daddy's pocket for fuel and maintainance stuff ... You might have some hardships ... Strictly talking about future
Okay now back to bike's (Since economics is always boring) I have friend who own's FZ, He bought it for its macho appearance and torque and bla bla bla ... First 5000 Km's he had uber fun with it (His bike is some 13 months old) ... Day by day his FE is getting worse and now ... He got a macho machine but hez scared to rip it like the old day's ... His FE is around 28 to 33 kmpl ~ give or take ... If he maintains 60 or lower ... Again I am not complaining about FZ's performance and other BS here ... Just pointing ... Its full potential cannot be utilized caz of its bad FE. How? I really dunno how to give a proper explanation for it ... But this somewhat matches it ... You buy a costly shoe ... But using it a lot you fear it will get in bad shape ... Then whats the point of buying it ... :P (I know I am going kinda off topic here ... Who cares I had a good english teacher and I am showing off what I learnt from her :P)
Dazzler is something different ... To be frank I seriously hate its look's ... When compared to FZ ... But when comes to satisfying us and keeping the wallet safe it really helps ...
Conclusion: Go buy a dazzler. Or you can confuse yourself more
There is a solution if you are looking for style, After 2 services (preferably) ... Go customize it make it macho bla bla etc (If you worry about the appearance stuff :P). Thats the best i can suggest :P2011 - CBR 250R (RED, Delivered) - Happy Man! - SOLD

Hey.
I was kinda in the same spot a few months back.
I don't know if anyone here has suggested you this or not(can't go through all the posts as it's tedious on a cell with pathetic connectivity) but if you're looking for a bike that's long lasting, easy on the pocket and damn reliable then your options are kinda narrowed down to honda, hero honda, yamaha. Of these the only offerings that suit a college going guy are the fz, hunk, cbx, stunner.
The fz is a great looking bike but according to me it's kinda over-rated(not talking bout the looks, it's drop dead gorgeous aesthetically). It's probably the only 150cc that behaves like a 125 after 60kmph plus the only one which returns the efficiency of a 200cc plus bike. Overall i feel the package to be over-priced and not fit for the market. And to this you can add all the quality issues that ppl are talking bout(alloys bendin, brake levers braking,etc.). I don't mean to offend any fz owners but it's just my opinion.
The hunk and cbx are great bikes which score in all departments fairly well(which is why after 3months of pondering i bought the hunk). The only problem i guess would be stuff like digital meters and dc electricals which are kinda cool and handy. Also hunk is a bit tall and hence problematic for a short few.
As regards the stunner it's the best 125cc around. Period.
I hope this helps.
P.s- the arms aching thing wears off over a few weeks. You should rather be worried bout pillion comfort, cause the seat is punyLast edited by blithe.ankit; 09-16-2010, 10:20 AM.The purpose of biking -
100cc- to get from point A to point B
125cc- to get there fast
150cc- to have some fun while getting there
200+cc- to start from point A and forget when point B passed by
It's not the ride but the rider that matters!
