    tvs wego VS honda activa

    Please tell me which would be better.
    I am buying this scooter for my wife who will use it to commute to and from work.

    Since my wife is very thin she cannot handle a heavy vehicle so one very important factor is weight - she has had experience of riding the activa but i don't know about the WEGO.

    Most important factor is mileage, next comes seating comfort, and third the daily commute is approximately 30 kms daily out of which 20 Kms is highway and 10 kms in city.

      Wego is as light as Honda Activa and is as good as Activa overall. I am sure your wife will not have any problems riding Wego. The Wego is feature-rich compared to Activa with telescopic forks and 12-inch alloy wheels. The ride quality of Wego is lot better than Activa. The engine of Wego is smooth and refined and is a little powerful compared to Activa. Enginewise, the Activa is more refined and more smoother than Wego. Mileage of both Activa and Wego are almost similar. Activa gives slightly higher mileage compared to Wego.

      If you take long-term reliability, Honda Activa scores full marks. The long-term reliability of the Wego is not yet established, though coming from TVS, you can expect it to be very very good.

      If you want a proven reliable prodcut, go for Activa. Other than long-term reliability, the Wego scores over Activa.

          I donot know about Wego but I own a Activa and can tell you that Activa is HEAVILY overpriced for the features that it provides. i did'nt like the Honda attitude at all.

              Go for Wego.. More comfort due to 12 inch tyres(excellent in bad roads compared to any other scooter in india) and more stability due to longer wheelbase. Mobile charger, battery charger, front fuel filling, easy center stand(good for ladies), slightly lighter than activa, excellent handling,body balance technology, good compound seats and lot of other goodies.. Look no further really worth every penny you are paying..

                Two Scooters which you should look out for.

                Scooty Streak:Zippy and Light

                HH Pleasure:Slightly more powerful and light too.

                Activa is a heavy scooter(in comparison) and would require more effort. I havent ridden the Wego but it should be lighter. Do ask her to take a test ride of all the scooters and let her judge for herself. All of the above scooters are superb in their own ways.

                  Wego is a good option.I myself have taken wego..one thing i noticed is the suspension,really comfortable on bad roads(telescopic shocks)..fuel filling is at back side..no need to open seat.cant say about mileage as till now 1st service is not completed,so dint check it..overall better package than activa..also engine is really smooth(same as access minus power)

                    Thank you for all your replies -
                    The reason that I am not looking at the Pep, streak or HH pleasure is because my wife does not like te way these look. She was looking at the activa initially but now seems to be interested i the WEGO - I have heard a lot of people tell me that een though wego is great, TVS service is very poor - is this true ? can anyone from Kolkata comment on this ?
