Yours sounds like a less complex choice. If Karizma is not available in your city, why bother when spares will be an issue. P220 meets all your requirements with the best headlight as bonus for night riding that may take up close to half of your riding as per your job. Not forgetting the occasional long trips. Besides Bajaj has been refining their products so reliability should be getting better. As for mileage is concern, you may just be able to hit your requirement if you are gentle on the throttle on an empty night street. Though don't expect 45-50 on a normal traffic.
If mileage is important, then you just might have to consider the Apache despite its vibration.
So, without further ado, my vote is on P220.

P180 seems like a sensible choice for you!!.. though P220 scores on headlight/rear disc/more power .. P180 will give the mileage that you are looking for, is good on highways & off roading is also not an issue.. will be at home whether you are doing 80-90 on highways or 50-60 within city.Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/

Rocking xbhp
@jd666
yes i know ZMA / ZMR are legendary bikes only reason they are not doing very well (infact doing worse) in Ahmedabad is because no showroom is giving it for test drive. and even if it is available in small towns, in ahmedabad it is always on waiting. my brother in law booked it in a'bad and had been waiting for 1 months then he inquired city newar a'bad (Rajkot) and they had ready in stock. we bought from there, so i am totally scary about after sales server and spares. dealers of hero honda in a'bad are like doing favour to us by delivering hero honda bikes and i hate that attitude.

Your comments really made me think of test drive FZ, i am going to test drive tomorrow morning. but in xbhp posts i was lookign today people are complaining about poor alloy quality.. any ideas?
and as per fellow friends comments, i feel like give P220 also a try as i was previous pulsar owner. so for now i am going to test FZ and P220, all other bikes looks almost out.. XBHP is rocking

I ve not faced any issues with the alloys at all bro so far and I ve ridden her pretty hard across all sorts of terrain and pot holed roads. And I personally think you re going the right way by zeroing in on the FZ and the P220 these two are really good machines, also I would like to add that a co worker of mine bought a RTR 160 hyper edge and though the package is impressive, but I felt the fit and finish was not like a premium bike. I mean it could ve been built a lot finer for what it costs.Originally posted by mustmanoj View Post.

I sincerely wish you open up your mind. Try visiting the a section here named 'The Tourer' and read stuff. Maybe that will help. Here is a link. The Tourer - xBhp.com : The Global Indian Biking CommunityOriginally posted by Satyamzma View Posti can only wish best of luck to your back...and if possible get a car...regularly doing such mileage on bike will only worsen the condition...
P.S.: If done properly, long distance touring on a motorcycle will never hurt anything. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/art-safe...ce-riding.html is another good read. Open up your mind buddy.Advice is a form of nostalgia.

Test Ride Day Today
So guys finally today spent few hours to visit bike showrooms and tried few bikes, not to mention long things here in short i was impressed by two bikes Fazer and P220 different ways, smoothness of ride by Fazer and Power Delivery by P220 so it looks like i will have to compromise with any one of them or wait for Honda CBR and save money till that time.
Apache nice but i din't feel smoothness compared to P220 or Fazer (totally personal feeling), Tried Hunk too, not too impressed nor too down but i would rather get FZ

Let us know what you decide finally, the Fazer and the P220 though are diffrent kinda beasts you will enjoy with either of the choices. But my vote would go for the FZ series on account of supeirior quality build and a more responsive service expeirence."I set out running but I take my time, a friend of the devil is a friend of mine. p220 and fazer whole different scenario. choice wisely according to your need between two my vote will go for p220 because mileage will be overall same of fazer and p220. so ur choice fazer looks or p220 power with decent looks.Originally posted by mustmanoj View PostSo guys finally today spent few hours to visit bike showrooms and tried few bikes, not to mention long things here in short i was impressed by two bikes Fazer and P220 different ways, smoothness of ride by Fazer and Power Delivery by P220 so it looks like i will have to compromise with any one of them or wait for Honda CBR and save money till that time.

well i own R15 so i will suggest you it. and i must tell when you test ride a R15 you can't know what it is because its diffrent from other indian bikes. try riding it more for 50-70 km. you will then know it and mileage i'm getting above 40kmpl with regularly ripping city riding and a K'N. so don't worry about mileage on R15.
rest if you want CBR250 you will have to extend your budget 1lac more from 80-85k atleast. so your choice
happy hunting
