      Erm..

Could we have some details as to what you're looking for in your first bike..?

ok so you are planning for your second bike.
But first let us know about your first bike. Because second bike has to be a upgrade in all aspects.

And TVS is in much better condition then they were in the past. So if you want apache rtr then you can surely go for it. No Issues.

But i'll suggest that you take a test ride and then decide. Keeping in mind, you preferences (like city riding, touring , engine, clutch or gear box.) and your build. If you are a tall person then i would suggest you to go for either Hunk or UNICORN.

Once a Honda, Always a Honda...

Go for Unicorn or Hunk or CBZ extreme. Unicorn is best of the lot. Hunk and Extreme have the same engine with slightly more power. Test ride the three bikes and decide.

Also test ride the RTR and decide if you liked it.

Except Pulsars (No- Offense) ......... all the other leading brands have good re-sale value........

In TVS- Apache has a good resale value - even the 150 apache went for a good resale amount ...... so think about the RTR.

And yes UNI and RTR both are in same cc category - but both are different

If you want some Mileage and its all only for commuting go for UNI

If you look for style, performance and thrill go for RTR

              Both the machines are goood

                  TO be in Average
RTR ---- 50(If it had a proper Runi-in and maintained correctly)
RTRFI--- Same as the mileage figures of RTR
                  Hunk --- 45 - 50
                  Unicorn -- 50 - 55

I can advice u to avoid HUNK ----- its a Heavy machine with the same type of engine of Extreme - Nothing special in it - except the plastic muscles

                    My reasons for Unicorn -
                    1. Good resale value, better than BAL/ TVS stuff.
                    2. Best mileage in it's class coz, of lowest power production in it's class.. It's just a bhp different than others, but you get around 5-10kms more..
                    3. Built quality is top-notch and hassle-free.
                    4. It's a HONDA!

I'd have to disagree with that there bro..
My 3 year old Uni and my Dad's 4.5 year old Pulsar 150 Ditsy unfortunately command the same price of 25-30k in the second hand market

Unicorn's just don't seem to have the sort of resale that BAL's finest command..
                      Sad but true...

actually if you want resale value .. you have to maintain the bike like the way it is ...
a new lookin P150 and F***ed up P220 will give the same market value ...

                        .................................................. .................................................. .....

the difference maybe 4-7 k thats it ..
anyways RTR is a very good bike ,, but if you only want smooth , and millege ..
then i would suggest you unicorn ,,,
but if you want power and thrill and speed .. with a little sacrifice of millege .. RTR is the best .. and you height suits the RTR perfectly ..

                          With all due respect bro..
The Uni in question has done only 17k whereas the Pulsar 30k on the odo.. And due to the extremely low mileage covered, the Uni looks spotless..

I do agree that a bike's condition can fetch one a decent bonus, but that's hardly the case here..

Fact of the matter is, that for some reason market demand for a Uni is less and so is the resale value.. Simple economics really

                            Go for a unicorn

Unicorn is anyday the better refined product.

Hunk is the same thing repackaged, as said earlier here. The clincher is, few men would like to say that they 'ride a hunk'. Sounds somewhat gay

But seriously, Unicorn is a sedate bike with a sturdy build. If you want speed RTR it has to be. And TVS' quality is good enough.
