RTRs have this problem of vibrations around 4k-6k mark but they are much much less in the HyperEdge.

However still with new P150 (if it comes) R15 will out perform it in all aspect.

In Kolkata and sub urbs, used R15 (fair condition) can be found at around 65k-75k with ease..

hahaha! No offences against your beloved friend or any other pulsarian, but this is a total blind pulsar-fanboyism
As far as the problem of parts for R15 is concerned, maybe he was trying to tell you that the parts are much costlier and thats true. But, it deserves the cost yaar. Its the most technically advanced Indian bike till date, and, I don't think anybody is having doubt on that.

About RTR, the "balance problem" is something I've heard for the first time How these people make stories There's NO balancing problem at all in any variant of RTR. And about the vibes issue, critics always exaggerate it. Its just a limited range of RPM, i.e., 4.5-6(or 6.5)K where you feel the vibes. Its very smooth and stable at higher speeds. Moreover, the handling, maneuverability it provides enables you to go for hard cornering (given, your tires are able to stick with the road ) and the ability to cut through the traffic like anything.

There's nothing that can be performed on Pulsars but not on RTR.

And yeah, its not that I'm prasing or being a fan of RTR because I own it, but its the other way around. I own it because I'm in love with it

Still, I always try to be unbiased and neutral while suggesting "what bike" to anyone. Thats what I've learnt here on xBhp and I love the same thing here

Atlast, keep in mind, Its you who's gonna ride the vehicle, its you who's gonna be with it. So, setting all the valuable advices and recommendations aside, you YOURSELF should try the bikes you want and feel what suits you more. I'm sure you will fall in love with one of them and buy what your heart says.

Yes, its the best if you can get a good second-hand R15. But, make sure about the services done and the way the bike was handled (caring... not "handling") during its initial month/months
