  • Suzuki Access or SYM Flyte

Hi, am planning to buy a 125cc scooter and want to make sure I select the best in market.

I see no ongoing discussions on scooters in any of the sections, so can you please give some valuable inputs.

hoyleboyle, there was a discussion thread between these two scooters. The server crash had erased it.

Suzuki Access is a much better option than SYM Flyte. The quality of Suzuki is a lot better than Flyte. Flyte has issues like low mileage and bad quality service.

Honda Aviator is a very good choice than the above two. Good mileage coupled with front telescopic suspension, makes this a stable scooter on the indian roads.

I have used all the three scooters above, and found the Aviator to be much better. Access has good pick-up of the lot (marginal). Eventhough Access has front telescopic suspension, sitll the ride quality is not that great as Aviator.

Flyte has some very good attractive features, such as lots of storage space, good handling, good front forks, and a 9amp battery. The lower ground clearance does not go well with a pllion while taking speed breakers. I feel it is a very serious issue. The lack of quality service is always a problem.

Either Access or an Aviator makes a good choice.

Dio and Activa have primitive suspension and less storage space. The handling will be lesser than the above three.

Well said ravi. Either aviator or access. My access clocked 6500 kms. No complaints.

Difference BTW Access & Sym Flyte
SYM Flyte Is Design For Femaine & Access Is Design For Male Customer

If a scooter is your choice then go for Aviator

I happend to drove her - and she was soooooo smooth and effective

Well but if you want a 125cc scooter - no choice go for access - but check out for suzuki spares and service centres as it will be a problem.

Yes! Aviator has a front disc brake, the first in scooters in India. Stopping powere is really good.

I own a Sym Flyte. Though it is a very good scooter from Kinetic stable, I do not recommend it. The quality of service is not good. The ground clearance is very problematic with pillion. The scooter is very small and the space for pillion is very small. Though it is a 125-cc scooter, the pick-up similar to normal 100-cc scooter. The Flyte is a good choice for single female riders only. Carrying your mother as pillion is not going to be comfortable. The belly will scrape the speedbreakers all the time.

man its got to be the access........ a 125 with good forks......you wring the throttle and it jumps ahead with much more ease..... plus its the suzuki man........i love riding it more than my flexible dio.......and yes acess is not that flexible on turns.....for more turns aviator is a better option.........heard bad about flytes soft feminine ride

if you want power access is the one to go for.............
it's backed by the initials "SUZUKI" on the panel...
same cannot be said for the 'SYM'...
you can also consider the brilliant DIO.........i owned it for 3 years it's one amazin machine........awesome leaning angles and bike like dynamics.........

I've been owning an Access for little over a month and have done good amount of highway and city driving and would certainly recommend it. But delivery time would be an issue in Bangalore (if you are not willing to shell something extra ).

I would'nt recommend Flyte, heard lot of reliability issues about it.

If you are 5' 5"+ tall then go for Aviator,

If its between Access & Flyte...then there is no comparison really. Access quality is much more superior than Flyte. Flyte feels like an upgraded Scooty pep.

i myself am gonna buy an Access. Its the fastest & is lighter than an Activa or Aviator i suppose. Its just the ridiculously long waiting period that goes against the Access.
