  • Bike Confusion between Herohonda Passion Pro and Honda Twister

    Hi All,

I am planning to buy a bike in the range of 50-54 K. The best 2 options i find are mentioned in the subject.

According to my research on both the bikes i find below points:

    1) Milege: Bothe the bikes give milege of app. 55-65 KMPL.

    2) Looks: Twister has better looks than Passion pro

    3) Performance: Passion is undoubted hero honda's one of the best production bike and can be trusted for long term let say can be trusted for 10 years for better performance. While Twister is new bike and still cant be trusted for same better performance for long term.

    4) Price: Almost same price.

    5) Problems: Not sure about passion but in twister i heard there is soe oil leaking problem and rear wheal problem.

Now i am confused which bike shall i buy.

Please help me as i need to decide as early as possible.

    Thanks

Anyways, IMO Twister wins by some margin...

                      Honda twister

                      More powerful engine
                      Better looks
                      Better exhaust note
Better shift pattern 1 down 3 up

I rode it in dense traffic on Honda-xBhp safety awareness ride.
                      felt better than Passion.

Anyway paying >50K for Passion does not feel right.
HH is charging that much because people pay any thing for HH badge. BTW H badge is better than HH

BTW you get Bajaj Discover 150 in same (or 1K less ) price.

+1 Twister looks way better then passion... HH needs somethin more than jst the badge of realibility n resale value...dnt need to say anything abt reliability of honda bikes...twister would be a smarter option
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

I voted for the Twister. I own a Twister myself. I have faced no problems with oil leaks or rear tyres. In short, no problems whatsoever.

Have you considered buying an SS 125 (Yamaha)? It fits your budget, so why not?

Re 'performance': The Twister's engine does the duty on Honda's omni-present scoots, so I believe it has established itself firmly and is reliable.

If you want to own this long term, why not buy a bigger bike keeping in mind your eventual marriage and children?

Also, read the Ownership Thread for the Twister. We have had no troubles.

This is the second time you have discouraged someone from buying the twister just because it has thin tyres. So does the R15 comparing to the other 150cc bikes. I don't see thin tyres being any kind of problem or disadvantage in the bike. The twister is not only a reliable bike because it's honda, but it also has a really good acceleration which will leave behind many 100cc bikes. Me being 65kg's sometimes end up with unintentional wheelis in the first gear when I accelerate too hard. I use it for daily commuting of around 15km's one way and it's a real breeze in traffic and also extremely light. It's got a good milage and looks good too. I have driven it for 5 months now and I really like the bike. The disk brakes help too. I'm not sure if HH Pro has disk brakes or not but the have helped a lot.
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.
