  • Suggestions for my second bike :)

I'm Anvesh and i don't post here much (but read a lot). this is my first thread may be. glad if it accepted .

Okay i'm looking for new bike. i have Pulsar 150 UG4 did around 15,000 kms with no crash and no problems (i mean bike problems). i'm selling my 150 and planning to get something bigger .

    Little info about me :

    i'm 5.7-5.8 (not sure )
54kg very lean build with 4-6 packs and visible veins all over .
But i can handle bikes well. i believe in my driving skills. bought my Pulsar when i'm 44kg and didn't have any problem except to pull it back .
Driving is in my family blood.

    I have only 3 requirements :

    1. MUST be high riving (this is the main reason i'm selling my 150. the bike must have power at all rpms )
    2. Good breaks. (pulsar 150 breaks suck i forget that my bike even has a rear break. i only used to front disks)
    3. Minimum maintenance. i take care well.

and 1 more thing i the use bike for next 10 months and i will give it to 45+ dad. moving to states . so consider little bit about my dad also .

Not but not least budget : bellow 100k .

I second GSR, it has quite 'bigger feeling', but if you need disc on both wheels, then go for all new Hunk, if you have money then Zma/ZMR is best and a good upgrade from regular 150cc
PS :R15/Dazzler may be 'small' for you, TD these bikes as well, when it comes to 'high revving' nothing can beat R15

R15 is out of picture as you'll give bike to dad later...
karizma and zmr are not what you'd call high revving but they do have power spread across entire range
P220 is a good bet as its a performer and your dad also could drive but asks for maintainence and brakes might again disappoint you
Apache will be best for youi guess as its a high revving machine with enough power to blow your mind also the new ABS version will improve the already proven braking on Apache....

I have secret crush on r15 for years but it's out my budget. Every time my friend over take me with his r15 i just look at him. I'm even thinking to buy a used r15 but i'm not sure yet.
Sorry for quoting every single post cuz i'm from my mobile. And sorry if there are typo s.

                  1. MUST be high riving (this is the main reason i'm selling my 150. the bike must have power at all rpms ) with R15 out of budget next best options are P220 and A180 and ZMR
                  2. Good breaks. (pulsar 150 breaks suck i forget that my bike even has a rear break. i only used to front disks)Best handling, braking and cornering bike is R15, but it is out of budget so next in again P220, A180 and ZMR
                  3. Minimum maintenance. i take care well. you will have to do regular servicing in all the bikes.

and 1 more thing i the use bike for next 10 months and i will give it to 45+ dad. moving to states . so consider little bit about my dad also .

for dad's point of view may be P220 and ZMR will be too heavy, too bulky with too much power for your dad. so take an A180 and if possible with ABS........that will make it ever safer to ride for dad.

Not but not least budget : bellow 100k .
                  my answers in bold..............

                    About Apache rtr 180 :

Today i went to tvs dealer to ask about abs version if they know and he gave a shock.

The guy said that we are not selling any rtr 180 cuz it having some problem (he said something name but i can't remember it. it's too technical word ). he also said he sold around 10 180s in my place and 10/10 are fail. all are waiting to warranty it takes at least 1 month for warranty. after that i inquired few 180 owners who r in my college the said it's true .

Have You Considered the Yamaha FZ-S , I Think its a great bike, Not at all Heavy And Has Decent Amt of power if not good, Plus it has a flat handlebar, hence its will be easier fr your dad to drive the bike and the 140/60 rear radial tyre makes control like cakewalk, think about it, I too was fascinated about The
A180 n P220 , But when i drove those bikes i found FZ the most Practical and I own one right now. Think about it !!
