@ xbhprider, go for passion pro its is very comfortable. Twister is also a good option.
If that is the case, why is it still on display on the Hero Honda website?? Any answers??

I agree that Passion Plus is a better bike than the Pro.

I have not enquired with any dealers in person but I have a feeling that the bike is not being produced in good numbers anymore. This may be a company/dealer strategy to promote the new models like the Pro.

ALl companies do it. e.g. The Honda Unicorn is not readily available these days but you can get a Unicorn Dazzler very easily.

The bike appears on the HH website because it is probably not officially dead yet. It's just that they are not being supplied to the dealers..

Hi guys, there are many 100cc bikes from hero honda ranging from 38 to 53 onroad..As far as i know the engines are the same in all the bikes. So why there is a big price difference between those bikes?CD deluxe cost 42k for the kick version and 44 for the self and passion pro costs between 50-53k and has three variants? Please guide me guys!

Excellent question man.. you see CD-Dawn & Delux appeal more to rural folk than those from cities.. a bit of rugged looks and you get a feeling that it will withstand the bad roads!!.. All of them use same engine, there is no doubt about that.. further apart from appearance most of the components used are same.. but when you see Passion Plus.. it looks appealing than a CD-Dawn.. and most people tend to pay for looks!! that's what is working for HH all these days.. they are using same 97.2 cc engine in splendor/passion/CD-Dawn/deluxe.. so all you want is a 100 cc bike from HH.. you can go for CD-Dawn as well.. take a look at Disco 100/Disco 125/YBR125/Sling shot.. they all fall in same price range and offer good FE as well.

Check out the new TVS Star sport

Looks very good, but not sure abt it's comfort & performance.

                Heard mileage will be good.

There are 2 100 cc (97.2) engines being sold by HH.
The old engine: used in Splendor + only. Torque = 7.94 Nm @ 5000.
The new engine's torque is 8.04 @ 4500. This is being used in : Splendor NXG, Splendor PRO, Passion PRO, CD Deluxe, CD Dawn.

The new engine was released first with Splendor NXG, which is not a success model for HH. I have heard people say the new engine is not as good as the old one with regards to mileage. This partly explains why Splendors (with old engine) still sell well. I have a suspicion that HH developed the new engine by themselves foreseeing the divorce. I might be wrong.

In case the original poster still hasn't made up his mind, and is open to buying a Splendor, I would suggest it over the others. HH has to pay a royalty to Honda for the technology and the Splendor + will hold value after the split.

Otherwise go for a Twister. The action has moved away from the 100 cc to the 150 cc segment.

                  Good luck!
