  • Help with used Yamaha r-15 ! !

    Hello everyone.
I found an good condition r-15 bike with 5.3 KM on the odo.
The bike is December 2008 model and is serviced at properly intervals.Bike is insured.
There are no scratches on bike faring nor is there any accidental history.
What i need to know is what should be its cost now after 2.5yrs with 5.3 KM on odo??
What was the price of an r-15 in 2008 OTR in PUNE city.
So if anyone can help me with my query it would be really appreciated.

      70-75k is a fair price.

Price depends on market demand - no hard and fast rules as such.

A 15k kms run model should be for less than 70k if well maintained.

I would say 65-70K is good price for this bike, since it's a 2008 model. The other one with 5.3k kms can be taken for 75k.. in fact it's a great buy at 75k IMO considering that it's done only 5.3K kms, which means it didn't even go past the free services!!

even i am also looking for a used R15 and have got one it has run only 12300km & purchased on 20 feb 2009
previously the guy was asking 80k but after seeing the i was disappointed as there was lots of scratches and faulty rpm meter and rust over exhausts so i bargained and settled it in 65k but guys is it good to go the bike and is the rpm meter is repairable or have to replace it with new one ??

lolzz - bro sep/oct 2008 model with 15k KM on odo - according to me 68-65k should be the price depending upon the condition of the bike

To calculate the price you have see the condition of the used-2 wheeler market.
Go to the used vehicles dealer, and ask them for the price of R15 then you will get an idea on how to calculate the price.
That bike should go for 70-75k.
Even if you buy the bike, ask the seller to change the battery,as it may be faulty as it had not run much!

I guess you have to replace the whole rpm meter setup.
I guess that bike has suffered a lot of negligence and rash driving,do ask the owner how did he treat his bike, also ask him whether the bike was properly run-in(also ask whether he knows whats run-in),then everything will be clear!

Modded bike will always go for lesser price. They do not have the same sort of performance/reliability as stock and that is why the owner must have sold it.

^^ I dont know about this bike, but a normal 2009, 8k kms run bike will not sell for this low. From that perspective, its a good deal.

I am still to check on the condition of 15k KMs model, so will update about its stat in 2-3 days.

Well i guess if i go for 5.3K KM bike or the other one i will be changing the fairings of the bike with new ones i.e Burning Kit FOC,so the only thing i need to check os engine condition, battery etc right??

Well the bike comes to life with single hit.No lighting or horn problems too.
Bike was driven only for weekend trips and city shopping thing by the owner.
I guess the Tata Green Batteries are problem free, but still will try to ask for new one.
