CB Unicorn- Choose this bike if you are heighted and have daily running upto 60-80kms. The bike is smooth and has superb performance. Also select this one if you plan to keep it for 3-4 years without whiling away to another bike. The pick up is simply superb and has a top end too..BE advised the spares are bit costly since its Honda, so be ready to withdraw lots of paper for spares and service (though they will arise once in year or so)Originally posted by power-up View Posthi guys. i own a 99' rx135 and i"m looking forward to buy another bike for daily riding within the city of nearly 30 kms and preserving my rx fr the adrenalin rush and weekend rides.. which one do u suggest..?? i hav shortlisted 3 bikes and have also posted my views on them..pls suggest me to choose the right bike

Suzuki GS-150R-- Perfect from all three mentioned. The bike has additional 6th gear which ensures you get a good top end speed. Apart from speed this bike is very comfortable to ride. Be it long tours and short rides this one definatly scoops out the cream. Fuel Economy is also superb since its 150cc with 6 speed transmission. Expect it more than the RTR and Unicorn...Spares are not that costly and does not require change but yes you might have to wait for them cz Suzuki is bit slow in delivery. Price wise it is also in the budget.... Buy this if you want a reliable long termer!
Apache RTR 180-- Choose this one if you are short or below 5 Feet 5 inches. the bike is not meant for heighted individuals (No offence to both). This bike has the grunt, if you are looking for speed then yes this can wet your pants. Fuel economy is also decent but somewhere meduim. The bike does feel cramped up when you are with pillion. Spares are cheap and readliy avaliable. Apart from all this it has superb drive features which matches to the GS-150 R. You have everything on the display. Buy this if you want it to be a short 3 years ride with speed.
My personal choice would be GS-150 R, It has the speed with its 6Th gear, returns a good Fuel economy cz its 150 CC only, Has a decent riding style, enough comfortable for pillion and rider, spares are cheap and easy to maintain. Has been a good mid segment allrounder.
Hope this helps buddy!!!sigpic

Neatly put! Your priority list could go in this order: 1.GS150R 2.CB Unicorn 3.RTR180, if your requirements match with what Eshan said.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostCB Unicorn- Choose this bike if you are heighted and have daily running upto 60-80kms. A180/A160
A180 has too good power and pretty decent fuel economy, and since you mentioned youll travel only 30kms during week days this is definitely sensible.
A160: never tried an a160 but if it has the same throttle response then its worth buying considering the good economy figures, make sure u test drive all the bikes before buying/finalizing.Apache 180

thanks for the guidance bros. .im goin in fr a GS150R
since it has the more value for money factor than the unicorn. . i went to enquire for the CB Unicorn in a honda showroom in chennai & they told that it would be delivered only after a waiting period of 4 months

Congrats buddy
I've observed that in some places dealers are creating artificial waiting list to milk money from customers who are willing to pay more for quick deliveries. This was happening with Activa, may be they are trying same with other models now!!
