Keeping ur hostel needs aside. I suggest you get your 220 serviced and as good as new. But if you really wanna get something new then go for the
ZMA, cause after a 220 an FZ or an R15 will feel "stressed".

But, if your plans to get an SBK come good(i hope they do), then an FZ for your home use should do just fine.
You mentioned that you liked the torque and handing of the 220, the R15 lacks low-end punch(as per all the reviews and tests that i have read),
but the FZ is good in those regards.
[Note: both have great handling, also both are uni-shocked at the rear.!!]
Also, its a Yamaha, so you will have no issues with the bike lying around unsued for short periods.

Personally, though I haven't had the chance to ride the R15 or the FZ.

P.S.: One thing about the ZMA. The body panels are not all that durable in strength. Also, it has starting issues if left idle for too long.

Finally, its all upto you. I say, do up the 220 for ur home use.

From what you have mentioned, the problem with your Pulsar seems to be the tires. They have hardened due to age.(in terms of "kms run" and not in terms of "months used")
      Just replace them buddy!
BTW, 25,000kms in just 10 months! Typical of hostel use. I can relate to that..heehee

      TC, all the best
      God bless.

Well bro, the issues u just listed must have been in your/your friend's bike..!! Coz never heard of such a Problems by anyone and never faced the same myself too..!

Though, one problem i can list down is that the original spare parts(from HH) are pretty expensive..!!

interesting!someone wants to ditch P220 for other bikes?
AFAIK ,P220 is one of the super cool bike with enough torque.I would like to know whether it is because of simply got bored of the same bike or something more for the reason to go for another bike?

Well - No problem except the tyre hardening , best torque and handling in P220 , but I love the 140/70 wide tyres and naked look of fz16 , so confused , rather it will be good to take my hands on fz16 , but lack of power ,maybe as compared to p220.

you wont be satisfied if you get Fz16 ,as you had a P220.it is a wonderful bike.may be ZMA can be a replacement.or if you dont care for mileage ,get one classic yezdi double cylinder model(if available).

I request the mods to close this thread as my question is properly answered by pros here.
