For ladies, I'll use my Dad's Passion nahi Passion Plus.
The RX will remain forever as well.

    Thanks for the suggestion guys.
Sorry if I have disappointed the ones who suggested ZMR.

    R15 walas: Yippee.

But its a Long Long waiting Period.

Next update when I get the RD150 (Red Devil).

    Cheers!

it is always brainy to go with heart.you just did the right thing.take care of your steed.happy motoring.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
          #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

              Thanks mate..

I always said to my friend before buying :

"If I buy a ZMR, I'll always turn around if I see an R15, but I wont turn around when I see a ZMR, when I'm on the 15"

Soo.. Didn't just want to regret later (After all, lots of hard-earned money, right? ), even though I might be compromising on some issues that need to get used to (The touring comfort, and lack of wrist pain.. )

                Waiting period?

                Hi shreyassave,

I was just going through your thread as I am more or less in same dilemma

Heart is screaming for R15 but mind is pushing for P220.. the main concern for me too is pillion comfort as I can't just have another ride for going out with better half..
How do you find the ride on R15 now that you have one?? I too have always dreamed of owning a true sports bike and don't wont to regret later when I see one on the road ..

I noticed you booked the bike in Nov'11 but got the delivery in Feb'12.. Is the waiting period that long these days?? Had you opted for finance or cash payment??

Finally, enjoy your ride, its D Best one you got there mate!!!

see for pillion comfort you have to compromise on your sub-superbike dream.r15 's pillion seat is really scary, better think about your priorities.i don't think r 15 has that much waiting period, you better check out your nearby dealer.

he definitely will be happy and satisfied with the ownership as he had longed for r15 only.see every bike has some cons, but we start to live with those con,and eventually forget them.he has passion plus for carrying pillion,so he is not concerned about pillion comfort.

                        Thanks a lot Prits.

                        1. Go with your heart mate, you shall not regret..
Its said, "It might be on the left, but its always RIGHT!"
Even I had thought about the pillion comfort, but then I had an option for lady pillion (my RX or Passion - The bike )

Also, when I had some of my lady friends as a pillion, they were pretty much comfortable.. The seat looks (and is small), but its comfortable, and the person can sit pretty well. I tried on the highway, and it was a comfy ride for her. Its just that you have to be cautious in case of hard braking, there too, they can just take support of your body (Now you brake that hard only in case of emergency, isn't it! , and you can manage that much.)

                        2. The bike is super awesome, and as people say it gets better after the 1st service, so you can just imagine how smooth it is going to be.
It depends on you and your better half, discuss with her, take a test ride and ask whether she can manage to CLIMB onto it when needed.
(Remember, she won't like if you sit on a 220 and drool at R15- it'll make her feel guilty (as if you had sacrificed for her), and I'm sure, you don't want that)

                        3. Also, I had booked on Oct 6th, 2011.. I was getting the Blue/Black in Jan, but waited and opted for the LE Fiery Red. I paid cash.
The waiting depends on where you book the bike, and which color you opt for. Also try asking in the ownership thread, and ask them if its available in your locality.

Do let us know about you discussion.
                        Good Luck,
                        ShReyaS.

                        Rightly said about the compromise.
About the pillion seat, the experience was far better as compared to what you think when you see it, just before climbing on it.

                            Thanks a lot Shreyas..
                            That feedback certainly helps!!
Well i have already gone through the ownership threads on V2.0 n P220(partially.. pretty long)..pheww!!
And a test ride would certainly clear my confusion to a lot of extend i guess.. However I am returning to India next month so couldn't do it earlier
I am soo excited to get a new ride (since am away from biking for 2 yrs) that I started looking for one as soon I got confirmation on my return..
I inquired about waiting period on call and got to know its 2 mnths in Pune from Yamaha Factory outlet.. I don't want to book one already before getting a TR.. so somehow holding my nerves n keeping patience (its very difficult though )

                            Counting days...!!!

                              I'm glad it helped you!

But, let me warn you this, DO NOT ride the R15 first, and NOT AT ALL w/o your wifey, else you will book it there itself for sure.

Even I went to just 'look' at the R15, had a female friend with me, asked her to sit, she said "Its fine"..
Next day, I booked the R15, without even visiting the ZMR!

The thing is, it just clicked on the 'Left side', and I went for it (despite of knowing the waiting, and lack of touring abilities as compared to ZMR).

The same thing happened with the color:
I wanted the Red/White, was getting the Blue or Black a month before, but I waited for Red/White.
Got a call from dealer that the LE Fiery Red is available!
The color looks crappy in the Expo snaps, so I wasn't willing to buy it!
The dealer just asked me to visit, I saw it parked outside, under the Sun..

It looked so brilliant (also it clicked up there) that I paid and took her home, that moment itself!

Also, take your better half for both the rides, because here she's the BOSS! I mean the deciding factor.

Good Luck with your decision, and do let me know!

                              ShReYaS!

                                Hi shreyassave
See both the bikes are awesome, great in style, looks and performance well I would recommend for new R15, personally I like this bike because its most sporty look bike form other bike prices in India but as your personalty is there this will not look attractive so the best one will be ZMR as this bike is bulky and heavy will suit your personality.
