hellooo guys....thanks for all of your suggestions...
I went to different showrooms and rode the pulsar 135cc 4 times...yes, now its cool...I don't feel any sort of depression towards my height..The bike is really awesome and liked it very much..and you know what..this bike is very light...I felt it really lighter than any of the old bikes I've tried..and my dad decided to buy it next month for me..
But today, I think this is very disappointing for me...I'm really shocked..
My uncle said he wanted to goto Yamaha showroom to buy some spares for his ybr..I waited outside for a while, but still uncle was talking with them inside..So I just went there..Now that's the worst part..There was the fz-s (street fighter)..I was gazing at it and some guy came and asked me if I wanted to test ride..Later I realized that saying "yes", was my sin..
My thoughts about pulsar 135 are fading...Who the hell made the fz-s? I'm totally fell in love with that beast..This is responsible for keeping my choice of p135 in confusion.. I still couldn't stop dreaming about the fz...and height - I could keep both my legs on the ground easily.
My dad said don't prefer fz coz of low mileage (32kmpl-city) and my uncle says if you think of mileage, you're gonna miss something in your life for which you later regret...
So I had you guys in my mind...you're the best..xbhp'ians are the best when it comes to bikes..Tell me which is better in both..
I'm gonna join in my job next month and I would be spending only my money for petrol (not my dad's money)..
I have to travel between home and office- 8kms distance - all traffic..and atleast a month, I would go for ride on highways for atleast 90kms.
Now you're the guys I depend on my choice...tell me guys...Is is bajaj (p135)and mileage or yamaha-quality and beauty.Last edited by Akhil_s; 10-28-2011, 02:49 AM.

mileage of the fz wile lower than others is not as low as 32kmpl, its more around the 42-50kmpl ranges, depending on your riding style.
decide what you want cause its better you dont regret about your decision later.Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!' -Hunter S. Thompson

Mileage really starts to weigh on your pocket when you ride for long distances wherein you buy more fuel. but considering the short distances you have maintained, I dont think too will feel too much of a pinch on your monthly expenditure. Apart from the money, Your heart says YES YAMAHA! Then the Yamaha showroom is where you must be headed towards.Originally posted by Akhil_s View Posthellooo guys....thanks for all of your suggestions...

Sigh!!!
I really repent the fact that i had not joined xbhp back when this thread was started :S

...
Missed all those mind boggling comments passed by Mr.Kanda
And yes... coming back to this thread (the real topic :P), i am also put up in the same situation...
R1 vs ZMR - I want pillion comfort as well, but im 5.9 and i feel ZMR to be half an inch short for both my feet from the ground... I guess I can manage... I did ride it pretty well... but yet to decide
mostly ll go for the ZMR as pillion comfort is a MUST for me
... do look at my thread for more doubts to be clarified (@ thread starter)...
Happy cruising!Last edited by rjswaroop2004; 02-22-2012, 10:18 PM.-Jyo-

this is the correct response to your query.Originally posted by vikhyath View PostMileage really starts to weigh on your pocket when you ride for long distances wherein you buy more fuel. but considering the short distances you have maintained, I dont think too will feel too much of a pinch on your monthly expenditure. Apart from the money, Your heart says YES YAMAHA! Then the Yamaha showroom is where you must be headed towards.and the question remains why do i race?

I will suggest the best bikes you can ride at your height.
1)TVS APACHE 160/180RTR- This bike is small sized & has high performance, but reliability is bad & TVS tires are also of bad quality. If for just city riding this bike will do,but not suitable for long riding.
2)YAMAHA YZF-R15-If you want a 150cc sports bike, this is perfect for you, price will exceed 1lakh but its worth it.The performance & appeal of this bike is really great, the R15 v.2 designing is similar to R6 & looks really good.If you have the budjet go for this.
3)Yamaha FZ-S-Another bike that would be perfect for you.Yamaha's 153cc engine pumping out 14Bhp of power. Its yet another go choice for you.
4)ROYAL ENFIELD BIKES- Now nothing get bigger or better than the king of the Indian Roads. You can go for Bullet 350 or Electra 350,if you have the budjet I suggest you go for Classic 350/500.So if you have the passion for these bike get yourself a Royal Enfield bike.
Height is not a big problem bro,I know many short guys who ride tall bikes, its just take some guts & a lot of passion & ofcourse you need to be strong. So now you choose. You can choose any of the bikes I have listed above."Choose Wisely"BIKES OWNED:
1)BAJAJ PULSAR 200NS (2012-
2)Kinetic ITALLINO BLAZE 165 (2007-
3)SUZUKI GS150R (2010-

How did I miss this !!!Originally posted by Centaur View PostHello Drifty,
Whisky and beer are very much in relation to handling of bikes.
When I am drinking whishkey, I am feeling tipshy which makes me also fall like kamlesh kanda (love that name, by the way
)
When I am drinking beer, I am not feeling so tipsy and so I am also not falling.
thanks,
bye,
Centaur

(Edit: Sorry for the OT: Couldn't resist
)

Sorry for bumping into an old thread though !!!
But when I am drinking whiskey, I am not falling at all. Only bike is falling.
