Your bike is way better than babes, only thing is that you need a proper vision to mull over this fact. :D

Well i'm not know much about tech, but as per me, go for CBR as you mention that if someone overtake you then your ego will big time hurt, so that is for sure that CBR will not let you down until you meet N250R... it's really good if you stuck in traffic or city ride, and very comfortable at highways also, just sitting is an issue with many people, and you have to get use to with it, as you already have a experience with karisma so it's will not a issue...

Well RE is for people who don't love top end speed (as in my view) this is very stable and nice bike one can have, you will feel the power and low RPM and it will make you feel that you are riding some gr8 thing, and then speed will not make any matter...
No road is enough... No destination I search...

        All,analyzed and said.....
CBR is your bike....now just go for it sir,
In future, when age take a toll on you,you can buy a Bullet then for more comfort.Let me tell you,my Dad is 50 and he rides my RTR with ease(even on long rides),so you wont face any problem at all with the sitting position of CBR....

I dont have a bullet, so I cant comment on that.

I have a CBR and it is an exceptionally good VFM product. CBR has a waiting period of around 2-3 months and the bullet takes more time to get delivered. I've heard around 6-7 months. Some RE owner can confirm this.

The CBR is effortless for city driving and is good for cruising along at 120 all day long. The torque is great and since its not heavy it easy to flick around in traffic. It gives an average of around 25-27 kmpl. The front seat is wide and comfortable, but the rear seat is not. The pillion would have a hard time.

Looks wise, both look awesome and both have become common on the road now. So, its your choice. Sound wise, you can never get a bullet's thump from a CBR.. never. But performancewise, a bullet would come nowhere close to the CBR.

I dont have an idea about the bullet A** but a CBR A** is pathetic. Pathetic in the sense that you have to wait for ages to get a spare and wait for another century or more to get it fixed as most of the service centers have seperate bays and a fixed number of trained mechanics for a CBR (and they are always on leave). But yes, the parts are cheap as compared to others. I broke the rear fender and it cost some 70 Rs.

Hope this helps... good luck with your search.

The feedbacks leading me to believe the Honda CBR will be practical choice for me. This has better performance, hassle free and as per users equally good in city traffic as well as highway cruising.

BTW I don't mind a Ninja overtaking me on CBR. The guys deserves this against the 1.4 lacs extra that he had paid..

Looks like CBR it is.. But the Bull will remain in my heart...someday I will own that as well, unless I suddenly come across loads of money to get me a Harley

The bike can safely cruise at 120-125 kmph speeds all day long, as long as you are able to do it.
But again as I said before, both are totally different products. If someone overtakes you and you are in the mood for a drag, please don't buy the RE. Not that it will not be able to, but it's simply not made for that.

What I mean here is, both can cruise all day long at 110+ speeds but have very different cruising characteristics. You just need to know what floats your metaphorical boat.

Went through the exact same phase : But as they say left it on luck~!

Secondly it looks tooo radical for the present environment, hence too eye-catchy.

I was worried about parts being stolen, i cant keep a check on it if i parked it at the railway station and left it there for the whole day! I can leave my different looking eye catchy yet a Bullet parked and not worry about road side taporis screwing around with the bike!!

I was honestly not convinced with the handling aspect in bumper to bumper traffic without gettting a cramp in my back or wrist pain after getting out of the jam!

I am sure spares of bullet are available like that of a pulsar! But i cant say the same thing about a CBR! Basically I dont know whether I will be able to find a mech for that!!

The on road assistance is upto 50kms radius of thane (From the showroom wherever I would have bought from!)

The sound of the of the CBR is not like I had expected, I guess it goes with the refinement

I am considering retiring my Suzuki Fiero and searching for suitable successor.

I like both RE DS and Honda CBR 250R ABS. Already I had test rides of RE Electra, DS and Honda CBR 250R ABS.

In the short test ride of DS I had yesterday in the busy afternoon traffic, I was taken aback by its power. The braking was superb. I had some difficulty in finding the neutral. I sourly missed the neutral-finder lever at RHS in the Bullets of yesteryear. The waiting period at HSR Agencies was 4 - 6 months. The test ride bike was nice and well-maintained.

After that I went to Planet Honda to test ride Honda CBR 250R ABS. I got the test ride bike after waiting for more than half-hour. The test ride bike was with a broken clutch-lever and without rear-view mirrors. When asked about the missing essential items, the person who accompanied me, replied that spares were not available! But, here also, I enjoyed the maximum speed that I could go in the busy traffic and awesome brakes. When I asked that person whether the cowl was to be removed for checking the coolant level in the radiator, he suggested me to go to their Ceeber-exclusive service centre at 8th main, Basaveswara Nagar, who would help me in the matter!

Although I liked both the bikes, I was not comfortable with the crouching riding posture of Honda CBR 250R ABS, which might tilt the balance in favour of RE DS.

Yes, it did tilt the balance in favour of RE DS! Yesterday, my son booked a DS at HSR Enterprises, Rajajinagar, by paying Rs 1000 towards advance deposit with a waiting period of 4 - 6 months.

Which bike did you finally bought? And how's your experience with it? I tested the Classic 500 and mannnn, it's mind blowing. Booked it straight away since just couldn't think of buying any other bike (unless I have money for a Harley 48 or a Diavel ).

Saar, adjacent to the clutch housing, you can find a black plastic cap/cover that need to be opened with a philip headed screw driver to check the coolant level.

@Sasen Which bike did you buy ??

but one thing i don't understand why there is a feeling of overtaking one another biker???

we talk about which bike suits us best, riding style comfort, handling and we talk good and get advice better.
But suddenly we think what if a P220 whic his just 220cc and cost around <90k over takes me ??? what about my investment in the bike for 250cc or 500cc. How can a small cc bike over take me???

We talk about power then suddenly we talk about top Speed, why ??????

Why don't people realise that the bike you are seating is very different DS500 is way ahead in crusing and stability. We can run DS for continuos miles but we can't feel same comfort over CBR. So why a thing of top speed.

How many times does a man rides his CBR1XXX cc at 220kmph+ no one it's rare! once in a ride. later he rides it in comfortable speed only! How many people from HD family have rode the devil for continous top speed??

CBR is best and very affordable suddenly we start taking if NInja over takes then i am fine becuase it's 1.5 lakhs more expensive! why people don't see the twin cylinder pumping in the N250's heart ???

Ninja has very different brake styles petal one, a different frame, twin cynlinder so it's a sport running bike, CBR 250 is single cynlinder made for masses in india.

We should buy what is needed for us not just becuase what of tomorrow pulsar or R15 over takes me then feeling???

I haven't seen any heart feeling RE people racing with any R15 or P220 or CBR. They don't care a Dam who passes by!!

They just feel i am riding like a KING is he Riding like a KING on road ??

People ride to feel like God But still want to be Riding like King, so they can feel the made like GUn but running like Bullet phase!!!

So chill every penny invested on any bike has it's own meaning.
