  • Suggestions for new bike

    Hi,
    I'm planning to buy a bike in the next 1-2 weeks.. I'm 5'10'' tall weigh around 74kg. I plan to use the bike for commuting daily to my work place and some occasional trips with my friends...
    I am open to both 125cc as well as 150c but have a budget constraint of 70k.
    Bikes which i have considered are
    1) Honda Unicorn Dazzler
    2) Yamaha sz-r
    3) Yamaha FZ-S
    4) HH Hunk

    Any more suggestions are welcome.. Plz dont suggest any Pulsars
    P.S :- Am a first time bike rider and have learnt to ride on the boxer. :P

          There is no best bike. Your initial post reads 150cc but now, you've come down to 100-135 segment.
          Anyways,
          P135 : Great performance with mileage of around 60kmpl
          SS125 : Proven technology. Good performance, but not sure of the mileage.
          Twister : Mileage of around 65kmpl, performance less than the above two. Costly and more waiting period.

          Go for the P135, it gives you the best of both worlds.

            i was about to book the twister today but my dad intervened and said dont pay 59k for a 110c bike.... but again is bajaj relieable.. i've heard that pulsar owners normally end up taking their bike for some or the other repairs every week as the parts just keep falling off.. Also the engine is not as refined as the Honda/yamaha....
            I 'm confused...TD'ed all three...cant make up my mind...

              P135 would've been the best bet among those but you have asked not to suggest any pulsars. That leaves with the SS125 and the Twister.

              Twister = More Mileage
              SS125 = Better Performance

              choice is yours.

                Also to add.. Twister dosent have any wating period here in thane, mumbai... max 15 days... but someone suggested me not to go for it as it has a cup sized engine and 4 speed gearbox...

                  Wait for the Hero Impulse to be launched. Just saw the autocar review of it- It seems very good bike & it will sure be an eye catcher. Do check the Gs 150r the 6th gear is very usefull when you are driving in highway.
