I'd recommend you the Honda Unicorn.

man as per your requirements I would hav suggested you Pulsar 180...
But as you have said "no bajaj", this 3 bikes you can try...
1>Suzuki GS150 R :Great tourer,Smooth ride(6th gear is a boon),Immensely comfortable,good handling.
Downside: nothing really
2>Honda Unicorn Dazzler: Great tourer,super smooth engine,Immensely comfortable,Great handling,Lighter.
Downside:Waiting period and stale looks.
3>Yamaha FZ: Best in all aspects ..
Downside:milage around 40-42 kmpl.
or Yahama SZ:milage would be around 50kmpl
Downside:quite slow in comparison to others.

If HH bikes you want desperately,then I would vote for Hunk,over CBZ X,due to its comfort(its even more comfortable than the Dazzler)... only problem here is,its the slowest of all these 150CCs..... but you still can cruise at 75-80 kmph easily.....

Go for Hero Mota Hunk.. it's comfortable & looks good..

I would suggest you to wait as new revamped pulsars are around the corner.. with current pulsars you might have got tired, but who knows design change with new specs might just change your mind. Just wait for a month, you got nothing to lose, moreover you can check out all the options with test rides.

In the current lot, GS150R suits your requirements.

Honda: Basically the Unicorn and Dazzler are the same under the skin. Somehow I feel Unicorn will suit your needs better. By my perspective, Dazzler is only a beefed up version of the Unicorn to match the sporty looks of competition bikes. The upside is that Dazzler has all the modern bits like rear disc, digital speedo etc. Dazzler has a slightly sporty seating posture while Unicorn has a comfortable commuter pose. I guess Unicorn will be comfy for long rides. FE is very good(50+ easily) The engine is a gem. Period.

HH: Go for the Hunk if you like it. It has good FE(50), damn good looks, rear disc and all the modern bits. Also HH doesn't have an annoyingly long waiting period like Honda. The only complaint I've heard in the Hunk is that there are vibrations at high speeds(80+) after a year or so. But I'm not sure. Pls confirm with owners and check the Hunk thread. CBZ is a tall bike, has good performance but FE is down(struggles for 45). But otherwise a good bike. Chuck out Impulse. Its an experimental model and we do not know anything about the bike since its not in the market.

Suzuki: GS150R is worth considering. Six speed gearbox and smooth engine make it so drivable on highways. FE is also good(no idea on exact numbers). Performance is not like other 150s but has enough puff to move around.

Yamaha: SZ-R is the only option you have. Even this bike is not upto the mark. I've had hand on experience on this bike. Not for touring definitely.

I didn't consider the GS150 simply because its too heavy.. I am not a speed demon so for me poise and economy are important and while GS does score in economy, thanks to the 6th gear, it loses out sorely in terms of poise.
The weight of a bike is actually in important point for me, as i plan on trying to take this bike all the way up to Marsimik La when me an all my school buddies get Leh'ed. If my bike gets stuck somewhere i'll be in deep shit if its a heavy one.

This is the reason i turned my eyes to Impulse.

Honda bikes are tried and tested and they have good resale value, good service network and they do not often upgrade their engines like some companies do, cause the engines are ment to last.

Hero Impulse is designed for off roads. If you have long trips in mind than in my personal opinion, you need a 200+ cc engine for a comfortable ride. In that case only ZMR (92k approx) and ZMA (115k approx) are the options which is little away from your budget.
