Hi Guys, One of my friend want to buy bike (New / Used), following are his requirements.

1). Mileage in city should be minimum of 40 kmpl
2). Easy to ride in city
    3). Budget:- 1 Lakh
    4). Controllable maintenance.

His priorities are as follows :

1). Second Hand Bullet (First Preference as he is tall and have a good physic)
    2). Second Hand Yamaha R15 (Version 1)
    3). Yamaha FZ 16
    4). New Hero Moto ZMA
    5). Apache RTR 180

If any one has any details about or have any reference regarding Second hand bullet or please get back to us on 9167184321.

    Now the questions are

1). Will it be worth buying second hand Yamaha R15?
2). Pros and Cons according to requirements.

Guys your inputs are highly needed. Thanks to all well in advance

I am not sure if any of the bikes in your selection can guarantee a minimum mileage of 40kmpl. However, since his budget is 1 Lakh, he can go for a new one.

Go for a new HH Karizma bike itself based on your specification that's the closes good bike although mileage would be near 30-40kmpl.

But if you ask my opinion, my friend who got karizma is repenting for spares cost, some kid spoiled his accelerator while he had parked and the two way cable costs 600rs +tax ! Now compare this with any other 150cc bike which would be half or less than that! But I would not really mind all these.

All bikes in this category are costly for running cost or maintainability. You cannot be really sure if the second hand bike you are buying was handled well by its owner. It may have run just 10k km but what's the guarantee he has not ripped the bike as soon as he purchased and to avoid engine problems and further costs he may have sold it before he starts spending on repairs.

There are no short-cuts to any place worth going. So ride safe when you are treading uncharted roads.

Going by your friend's physic only bullet or ZMR would be a good choice, I guess the rest of the bikes might look tiny to handle..if you have 1 LAC why not look for a new one instead, its hassle free.
