  • Ride for College guy

    Hey guyz my father has promised me a ride for next year college and thats made me feel elated and confused at the same time....
    I've been riding P180 UG3 for a year now and would love an upgrade. Here are some of my needs...
    Power- I am a power freak and love outright acceleration
    Touring capabilities- Must be comfortable enough to do 250 kms stretches without many butt breaks
    I dont care much for refinement and such, so vibes are not a major issue
    Looks- I know looks are subjective but you may guess which bike will look good on me, i am 6'0" and 65Kgs
    I'll maintain the bike decently but it must atleast not leave me stranded on a highway
    My budget is approx 100k so please dont ask me to wait for cbr
    Mileage must be around 35...
    Thanx for your time and forgive me for writing such long list but i'm sure fellow enthusiasts will understand...

      => P220, R15
      Touring capabilities- Must be comfortable enough to do 250 kms stretches without many butt breaks
      => P220, ZMR, ZMA-R
      I dont care much for refinement and such, so vibes are not a major issue
      => P220
      Looks- I know looks are subjective but you may guess which bike will look good on me, i am 6'0" and 65Kgs

      Therefore either P220 or ZMR
      P220 Cheaper
      ZMR Reliable and refined
      Since u dont need refinement
      go for P220

              P220 seems the best for you but you can check out the recently launched TVS Apache ABS too..

                Had they launched it???When???

                @Threadstarter:RTR 180 & P220 are the bikes which will give you outright acceleration.Though for touring purpose,P220 may be more comfortable.It is more refined than RTR180.

                        that should not be a particular order as RTR180 has good pickup but its not that good while accelerating at high speeds on contrary R15 lacks initial pickup but its great at high speeds & zmr has better initial pickup then R15 & it accelerates better then RTR180 on higher speeds so you can't put names of all these bikes in a particular order in terms of acceleration..

                        now @ topic i guess P220 will be a best option for you closely followed by ZMR/ZMA-R

                            I completely agree. It is a hugely underrated bike. Unfortunately, people critisizing this bike haven't even driven it. It has 14.2 bhp which does not sound out of the world,but has excellent power to weight ratio and a very good top end performance.Just take a test drive and you will surprise yourself. It's a Honda afterall.

                              Since you ve mentioned that you are a power freak and love outright accelaration go for the P220 when it comes to outright accelaration there is no bike like it in the sub 1 lakh range. Also a very capable tourer with it's higher dispacement engine and them projectors are a big bonus. Hope this helps.
