Though in the dillema, I still have an inclination towards CBR250, for the following reasons :

    1) It has a full fairing (personal choice)
    2) Great mix of a tourer & track ripper (pl dont smack me for this , i tried leaning it, did well, not as good as R15 though)
    3) I doubt bajaj would be able to service KTM & has very limited outlets too, but honda is a local chap now
    4) Top end is whopping, and even comparable to Ninja

Pl throw some light..... and help me decide.

i guess you have the answer, read your post again.

about the track ripper part duke will have fair advantage than cbr.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
    #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

          Choose the CBR

          +1 to techfreak.

I own a CBR. I feel it is a right balance. Go for it man
          CBR250R |
          Bajaj Pulsar 180 - dts i |
          Bajaj CT 100

Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight.

It was not that far on the map.

Thats quite a lot easing off my dillema, appreciated men!

And on the leaning part, i guess a rear tire change to a 150/70 soft compound from michelin or pirelli would add 10 to 15 degrees to the lean......

Any ideas on this, or any1 has done it himself, please update.

            regards

I agree to the above point. Go for N250 if you can affordit or else CBR250. Remember you not only will have to shell out 3lakhs for Ninja but also the maintainance is costlier than CBR. Whereas you can get a CBR for half the price of Ninja( the standard version) and even maintainance is not that costly.

And do what? Bump into some animal or morons on the road, bribe the police or stay in jail? 10 degrees more?

PM or ask sayhi2sai if you want to know what kind of leaning he's done on the roads in last 2 days. 150 or even 1500, if the bummer doesn't know how to make turns, he's as good as riding a Splendor!!!

140/70R17 is more than sufficient for a CBR to do more than decent leaning on streets...unless you're talking about track.

Thanks aargee for the cautious words, i was just contemplating doing that, BTW still havent bought the CBR. would never do outrageous & insane stunts on city streets.

Found that continental tires are not that good(cbr250.net), not good while cornering but also while braking. And since one wouldnt buy a CBR just to stroll at 60 Kmph, Braking is an important factor, hence the thought of a tire change.

But did you just compare the CBR with the splendor????

                  regards
