  • Need a cool bike for college going guy

Hi friends! I'm planning to buy a good looking 150cc bike. My max budget is 80k(not a rupee more). Mileage isn't my concern, but i need some good performance and good acceleration.
    Height: 6'2
    weight: 72kgs and slim
    i've shortlisted the following bikes.
    1. Pulsar 180( one of my favorite but reliability is a concern)
    2. Hh hunk ( looks good but does is perform well)
    3. Cbz xtreme( didn't like the looks much but it perform better than hunk)
    4. Gs150r ( big bike feel but what about performance)
please do tell the pros and cons of the above bikes and suggest me if there are any other in this segment.
    Thank and waiting for replies
p.s: big no to fz, fazer and rtr.

so you want to ignore the best 150 cc s out there, any reason behind disliking towards rtr and fz?
anyways my favourite from 150cc bandwagon is rtr 160.
hunk and cbz both performs same,gs 150 r is a solid performer but not meant for college students, stay away from pulsar as they are gonna refresh the whole product range soon.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
      #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

I know rtr is a very good performer, but i feel it vibrates a bit too much and it's not suitable for height and about fz... It looks good but performance isn't that good and this too isn't suitable for my height (people say i look big and bike looks small). And do you think i should wait for pulsar? Or any other bikes?

I was also on the same situation when i bought my hunk in 2011, i m also 6'2
& 80kg, found hunk is best bigger looks bike in 150cc segment, ppl suggested Apache rtr 160 and fz, but i canceled all of them bcs of it does not suits me according to my height, but you like the hunk you can defiantly buy the bike i hv completed 13k nvr had any problem except some minor problems...today also my friends said that bike does not look bigger than me....
Further now i m planning to upgrade in to 650cc from 150cc....

yeah, hunk is good indeed but i don't like the real part, it looks small compared to front and friends please help me with pulsars, 'cause i'm in love with it but people say it's not reliable, not good and all.

pulsars had some fair share of niggles but bajaj is fast improving on reliability front.
no offence meant ,but i find hero-honda bikes conservative.

i don't know why people keeps on cribbing about vibes,it is not that big issue, newer models have less vibes.just try one rtr,it will make you forget about the vibes with pure fun.
i don't know when bajaj is gonna refresh 180,i suggest you to stretch your budget and get a 200 ns.

dude, vibes aren't my problem... my main problem is that apache's too small for me.
And about pulsar ns... i don't think my parents will extend the budget for it.

yeah i've ridden a mate apache couple of times, and my friends say that it isn't the bike for me. And i'm ok with it's posture as i won't be doing long rides. So maybe i should give it another shot (and we're taking abt 160 right? Because 180's outta my budget). But still my heart say pulsar.

now let me get onething clear, are going to buy a bike according to what your friend says?if feel ok ,why not choose that.

there is 5k difference in otr of 160 and 180,if you can arrange that extra 5 k,i strongly suggest 180.

you heart says pulsar right, now give your mind a bit chance, now why would you want to own a bike which is about to get a face-lift?

                      if you are pulsar-maniac
rather wait for face-lifted pulsar ,which may take time.
and the question remains why do i race?
