  • Bike for a complete beginner

    Hi all,

I'm new to this forum as a member, but have been reading up on articles, impressions and suggestions by other members for a while now and I was hoping if some of those suggestions could help me.

I'm more of a car guy.I'm new to the whole biking scene, never driven a bike before, but did drive a scooter once. But I've always been good on 2 wheels.Been BMX'ing, mountain biking since childhood, but I'm not sure how those skills would transfer onto a motorbike.

Basically, I'm in the market for my first bike.

    Some basic information

    Age: 23
    Build: Slim
    Height: 6 feet.
    Budget: 1 lac or so.

    Requirements:

    -Good power

-Decent mileage.Honestly for a car guy, anything that gives above 30km per liter is just godlike.

-Good looks.I'm a VFX artist and I'm quit conscious about detail. The bike needs to look good.

-Light weight.Since I'm a slim guy, I'm guessing a lighter bike would suit me better.

Hope that's enough of information for you guys to suggest something for me.

    Regards.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

          ha ha good one.

          have a look ar r15 or cbr 150 r.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
          #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Thanks guys, I've had my eye on the Pulsar 200NS for quite sometime now, it sure does look like the bike for me.

Apparently it'll release sometime next month? I read that Bajaj is making some last moment tweaks on it before it goes into production.
