  • A 2nd Hand Bike For My Friend

My friend is looking for a second - hand bike in Chennai. 168cm in height

His budget is INR35OOO, the requirements are looks, mileage and average on maintenance.
His daily travel will include 45kms.

He is a bit keen on Honda Stunner PGFmi

Please guide on what bike and the best price.
Presence of MIND and self CONFIDENCE is the primary aspect You need to be on road, not what brand your riding gears are.
If you lack these two then DONT

Go through the following link. At that price you have some good options even powerful bikes, So some more info like the age of bike, mileage preferred, brand preference will help.

      CBR250R |
      Bajaj Pulsar 180 - dts i |
      Bajaj CT 100

Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight.

It was not that far on the map.

leave aside pgm-fi ed stunner.why not a new bike for a hassle free ownership?there are plenty of options if your friend stretch his budget by say 10 k.you get a new bike, peace of mind.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
        #overkill is underrated.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

As per my view, PGMFi is a crap for a lower cc bike like Stunner. Sayank is correct. If he can stretch his budget, he can go for a new bike but looks, he may have to compromise on.

I own a second hand bike that my dad bought me for as my first bike,
it was for around 25k, but it was not long it started giving problems, and maintenance costed around 10k+.

You can't exactly predict what is inside the bike and so, as others said, go for a new bike ^relax^
The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

Go for new Crux / CB Twister / Discover 100..
If you get a used bike with great looks for 35,000..the bike probably lacks on performance.

              Currently owned : HH Splendor [1995 - Still Have it] , Pulsar 200NS [2012]
              Future plans : R1 by 2017 , I hope :D

Sorry For the late reply friends..

Thanks for the link. Chandru Raj,

                Chandru Raj, sayank10, rx100.7050, neevarp16, paradox

He is keen on Honda bikes. 3-4yrs old bike with below 40K on the odo seems ok to him. He just needs this for his daily travel, and girls beside should throw a glance. He doesnt have an idea of keeping it for the future.
INR 30k is the maximum he can arrange for this, he likes the honda for its reliability.

i am still sticking with the suggestion of buying a new bike, don't buy a 2nd hand crap in a frenzy.
and the question remains why do i race?
