  • Bike advice needed urgently.

    Hi,

Being my first bike I don' t have much idea about bikes. So I am here seeking some help.
I am planning to buy a bike within 2-3 days . I have done some research so I want a bike mostly for daily use from home to office and on the weekends for some ride with friends(not regularly but sometimes) so I want a bike in 150cc segment . My budget is 60-70k would prefer adequate mileage so that I don't have to rob a bank just to run it . And it would be great if it looks good... I have thought of P135LS(coz of its mileage don't know much about its performance) ,Pl150 , FZS(but have read reviews that it gives very less mileage so am in doubt about it) Apache is also a contender so please help me in selecting one . And it would be great if you could suggest any other bike ...

Is their a great difference in the average that Pulsar 150 , FZS and Apache and please also give some views about their maintenance after some time of usage...

    Thankx

due to the price hike after union budget i don't see any other options other than sz-r,discover 150,p135 in that price bracket.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

          Thankx all,
I had read the ownership experience for Pl135 and the users seemed to be quite happy with it except for some minor hiccups,
I want to ask if any one of you know have those problems like the fuel meter showing wrong reading has been solved or it is still there and have heard about Pulsars that they require more maintenance than other bikes after some usage.... isnit true??

          thankx

            Gs150r

you should consider gs150r too....take a test drive of it as i loved the bike and also buying it in 1-2 months...it has 6 gears(its too good and smooth) and mileage of 50+ in pwr mode and 55+in eco mode which is great in 150cc segment and obviously it is highest...

              its p135 vs gs150r....

As you seems to be concerned about mileage and maintenance a little more.. GS150R all the way. Test deive both, 150r lacks in initial pick up a little bit.. There is also a modification available which converts it into a 180cc monster.. So in case you get bored of its performance, you can upgrade.

Bajaj p135 in no condition can challenge gs150r except initial cost...

I think ur being over-confident with the GS. GS is just an ordinary 150cc bike. No R15 or CBR-150R there. P135 definitely would beat it in initial costs, flickability, initial pickup, better tech (4 valve engine) and mileage. Not to forget number of service centers, spare parts availability etc.

Ofcourse you cannot compare it with r15 and cbr
i agree with you in just some point like initial cost which i mentioned, initial pickup (due to its weight which gives stability at high speed on gs and in new models its reduced ), service centre a bit problem.

@TS.. it sounds like you want decent performance/mileage combo. In your budget P135LS is as good as it can get. You can go for it with closed eyes.

recently i bought p135,i am more than happy with what it offers at just 65k+rs,except the super-hard seat.so give this urban-street-warrior a try
and the question remains why do i race?
