  • Which bike to go for?

Hi guys....I need your expert advices in choosing the right bike for me. This will be my first bike but i am no newbie in biking...and i am pretty comfortable in riding 'em.

The bike which i have to choose from are:
    1. Yamaha R15
    2. Pulsar 220
    3. Ninja 250R

I like the Yamaha because of it's R1 styling and technology...but the lack of split seats and broad tires are what i dislike. I test rode the bike and liked it.

The P220...because of the Bajaj reliability...but i hated the way they are giving only a dynamo test ride.

The Ninja 250R...well nothing to say for this one...as it speaks for itself. I just love it...but no confirmed availability date and price are pissing me off...anyone having some news??

Now...one thing that i want to tell you is that...I am buying the bike only for the love of biking. I am 19 and over 5'10"....so please help me out in making the right choice...

the price of the ninja hasnt been quoted by bajaj...so cant say ...for now you should go for r15 w.r.t. your height ...but still the servicing is still a issue

Thanks MG_Biker1806 for approving the query...

@ MG_Biker1806 and Sam92: I'll be using the bike for some short daily commutes and maybe some long rides...and I am around 60kgs in weight athletic built...

@Puneet1: I am going to buy the bike...in December end or in jan begining...but i heard that a revised version of R15 is lined up...Can someone throw some light on this??

P220 - If you take care of the bike and don't rip her tits off she is going to be with you for years to come. Every bike has issues. It's upto you how well your biking attitude takes all those issues in your stride.

R15 - Too small for your stature. Moreover, I don't like its styling. I don't like its broad front with skinny tyres. Kind of out of proportion in my eyes.

Ninja 250 - Remember there will always be a "bike to come". I will not wait for it since it is still in rumours stage and the price range is too high. Of course if you have 2Lakhs for the Ninja then you can try waiting.

Thanks for the advice leon and sam...my budget is flexible...

The problem regarding P220 is that i haven't actually rode the bike...the only ride i got was on a dynamo at a Probiking Showroom(and i hated it)...

@Puneet: I have heard about the 200Fi, Honda CBR...but TVS menace is it a beefed up apache??

                            Planing to buy a P200

Hello Everybody at Xbhp... I am a new member to this community.. And I find Xbhp to be an excellent and very interesting place for any biker... Well I hope to be an active member here and will like to learn and experience lots of things from these Mean Machines and its owners.. .. Looking forward for an interesting time...

I own a black Pulsar 180 CC 2004 model. And now I am planing to sell it and buy a P200. I had 3 choices, 1- the f1-RTR 160, FZ-16, and P200.. Out of these i did came to know that both the rtr and FZ are good .. but for me i quite did not like the total length of the rtr but otherwise its really good, FZ i did not test ride it yet, but heard its very good.. Finally i just cud not let my eyes of the P200.. Seemed perfect for me.. Just one more thing missing is Rear Discs, which I was wondering If anyone know whether Bajaj will introduce an upgraded version of P200 with rear Discs..
