  • 150cc Fuel efficient bikes (considering recent fuel price hike)

Hey Guys, I already have a 8 yr old TVS Fiero F2 which has clocked over a lakh kilometers.... it is still a very nice performing bike.... but i guess its milege has gone down... currently getting 45-48kmpl or sometimes a little less than 45, if ridden hard on mostly highway runs..

Now since everyone is quite aware of the recent fuel hike ( it costs 78.97Rs in Pune for a litre of Petrol), i would like to know which is the most fuel efficient 150cc bike available which could give me a min of 55 kmpl in mixed riding conditions. i am 5'10'' long and weigh about 80kgs..

so guys plz plz help me out here....

Topic Approved, and moved to What Bike Section.

Its difficult to get 55 kmpl from 150cc bikes in city conditions, but on highway you should get that figure most of the times.

These are one of the most fuel efficient bikes in 150cc category: Bajaj Discover 150, Suzuki GS 150R, Yamaha SZR, Honda Unicorn.

Additionally, you should try out Pulsar 135cc, which gives 150cc rivaling power, with good mileage. And yes, it gives some 55-70 kmpl depending on conditions. Its 4 valve head gives it a mileage-power advantage like none of the above bikes get.

most of the current 150 cc bikes will give the same mileage as you are getting right now in your fiero . with the high fuel prices i feel pulsar 135 is a good replacement though dont expect it to last as long as your current bike .

55kmpl is a good thought why not something more than with stock TVS F2 ??

How about a 125cc ?? discover 125ST with good 13bhp and average of around 60kmpl+/- or any other 100cc bike which give you a good mileage.

Now time has come to get back to 100cc daily commuting.

If you are firm on 150c then opt for Honda Unicorn/Dazzler, Yamaha SZ-R VFM surely gives 55kmpl+/-, my two friends gets it.

Don't know whether you would like it or not but Boxer 150 is also good showroom guy said 60kmpl+/- as with same boxer look.
Suzuki GS150R also gives around 55kmpl+/-.

any of the above bike would give you decent mileage to fight against fuel hike, But to kick Ass price hike you need any 100cc or 125cc bike

Most 150 cc gives what your TVS Fiero gives.

I will say +1 on P135 if you want mileage or if you are looking for a 150 cc replacement for your condition, go with the Unicorn or Suzuki GS150

          Bajaj CT 100

Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight.

It was not that far on the map.
