Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

First of all welcome to the XBHP....

The best bike I can suggest you is Yamaha SZr in your budget (price may vary 2 or 3k more), but in this value you getting a 150cc bike with very good looks, mileage of around 45-50, sufficient power full for city ride and touring.

Secondly you can go for p135 same as price may vary 2-3k more, but very good mileage around 50-60, a good handler, lite weight, great looks, and presented as lite sports bike by many people.

With in 60k range means any bike with 100 or 125cc apart from Stunner as it cost more.
And very imp is your mom should be comfrtable while seating or boarding it. So, any low pillon seat bike.

        Few options :
        Good:-
        Splendour
        Passion
        Discover 100/125

        Worth:-
        Shine
        Yuga
Discover 125 ST (hopefully with in 60k).
Stunner (need to increase your budget by few Ks)
        Boxer 150
SZ-R (need to increase your budget by few Ks)

Wanted to vote for Discover 125ST, accidentally clicked on Discover 125.

I once did ride a Discover 100 DTSi and I have to say that among the commuters, the most fun 4 stroke commuter was definitely the Discover 100, for me atleast.
I suppose that Discover 125 ST would be great, if you want fun and good handling with mileage. And it gives more maximum power than the initial 150cc Pulsar did... (although, be aware that torque is also a factor)

stretch your budget and buy either unicorn or p135,don't think too much.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

OK so after so much mind crunching i have choosen three bikes Suzuki Slingshot, Honda CB Twister and Discover 125 ST. Which one of them would be good considering Fuel efficiency, looks and performance? Though Discover 125ST yet to come to seen.

Slingshot is far better than twister but some users are complaining of poor FE(me getting excellent FE of above 64 and can be taken to70s if ridden carefully). For new disco you`ll have to wait for some time
Another thing to be considered if you are going to buy a Suzuki is inquire about the nearest service center to their customers, If their reply is negative buy another bike!.

OK i have heard that bajaj bikes don't last too long. is it right? to be fair and honest Honda and Suzuki automatically evokes a sense of lasting and hassles freenes. In our home we had a bajaj chetak and now my BIG B has a p150 which is good but he don't let me ride that too often. Suzuki slingshot, Honda Cb Twister and Bajaj Discover 125 ST take your pick.....

Among your selections the Honda Twister returns the best FE, Slingshot is a joy to ride and has much more feel, but the FE figures most of the time say below 70kmpl.
