    dilemma regarding hunk

    hello guys, i'm vickul...i am planning to buy a 150cc bike and have shortlisted hero hunk and xtreme...although my first choice is hunk..when i went to hero showrooms in bbsr to query about the hunk,they informed me that the hunk is not in supply since 3-4 months and since xtreme is in abundant supply,they advised me to buy xtreme .they even said that hunk is problematic and hence no supply which i find completely false, because hunk and xtreme are mechanically the same.i like the hunk better than xtreme..now im really confused...so,my queries are...
    1.is there a new hunk upgrade coming?
    2.why svc guys tell that hunk is poblematic?

    guys.please help...

      Both Hunk an cbz are identical no doubt about it!!! I think they are trying to mislead by saying that hunk is problematic.Try posting some queries in the ownership thread.personally I never had any major issues with my Hunk

        Because they wants to reduce excess stock of CBZ,
        Only difference between those two are hunk is short geared while CBZ has longer gearing.

          both the bikes are exactly identical.. including the performance...
          looks is the only thing that you can chose betn the bikes..

            thanks for all the replies,

            1 query to all hunk riders?
            people tell than hunk/cbz gearshift is pretty hard....and quite a job to find neutral...is this a permanent problem or does it get resolved within a few thousand kms...and does the bike vibrate at higher speeds...,and please mention the fe you re getting....

            the showroom guys said that we can provide u a bike when next assignment comes(1 month),but cannot promise colour....had the same problem while buying a pleasure for my mother......cannot understand what is wrong with showroom guys..

              when i had purchased the bike, i had read reviews and 8 out of 12 that i read, mentioned that the gearbox is hard. when i got the bike, the gearshift was really hard but in the third service, the service person did something to the levers and the seal and since then the gear lever was never hard.

              but 4 of my other friends who purchased the bike did not have this problem.

              frankly speaking, it was a tight seal problem and not the problem of gearbox as such.

                thanks for all your replies....

                have waited almost 2 months but hunk is still not available in showrooms .....
                decided to go for hero xtreme...even if i dont like its edgy looks ..

                will post my bikes pics soon after the delivery of the bike...
